You removed the COI declaration, and you have not made the paid editing disclosure. Why did you remove it? 331dot (talk) 12:24, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

hello 331dot, good morning! I cleared the frontend of individual pages of the messy submissions (should a courtesy wipe be requested instead to an editor?). I understand the reason for your question, though, so let me address it directly: I will not be re-submitting any of the technology articles. I declared the CoI as a firm believer in editorial transparency. I stand fully by that decision. But I was finally informed that due to the CoI my posts on these technologies would not be considered, regardless of efforts put into crafting informative and neutral content. While I do not agree in principle with limitations on contribution due to a active participation in their evolution (I understand your concerns, and am aware that is not Wikipedia's intention), I won't be re-submitting to these specific categories (and especially not without the CoI present). I have to trust in the collective evaluations about the content in question. If you wish, to safeguard my word, I can re-add the CoI for historical purposes. Generally, COI/paid declarations shouldn't be removed once made, though if you don't intend to contribute in the areas for which you have a COI, and will disclose should that change(which you seem to be saying), I'm not too worried about it.
You weren't told that your edits would not be considered at all, just that COI editing is highly discouraged. This is an important policy to protect the neutral point of view Wikipedia strives to have. If you feel that your editing was consistent with the policy, you should discuss that with the reviewers who looked at your draft so you can tell each other what your concerns were. 331dot (talk) 12:52, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
