Draft:Employer Tax Carve Out

edit

Great start at knocking the draft into shape. It isn't yet ready for resubmission, but you've worked hard and well and I'm confident that you will get it into a reasonable shape for a more meaningful review next time you submit.

When you submit, do not stop work. You can still improve it, and you should do so. The reviewers want to accept articles. Paradoxically this is why they decline so many that do not make the grade. It's a matter of article quality. We want to accept yours. Your job is to get it into the shape where we can. My comments on the article are intended to get you to the stage where a reviewer can make a good decision, and yes, they may decline it still.

If it is declined and you don't understand why, ask the reviewer who declined it. We want to help you. Sometimes we even make edits in the article, though this depends on our interest in the topic.

The review process is intended to try to make sure an article, once accepted, is not subject to summary deletion. This means all the pain right now is worth it! Imagine facing this with the outcome being deletion! Fiddle Faddle 07:38, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have left you a further comment, intended to be helpful, at the draft. I am only looking at the technical aspects, not at the content. Because I am offering so much advice I am rather involved with the article and cannot be a reviewer for it, but I am happy to continue to advise you. Fiddle Faddle 06:59, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
It's a hard slog, but I think worthwhile. The increased brevity (is that an oxymoron?) makes legibility substantially better. Handling the remainder of the points means you stand a good chance next time you submit. There are no guarantees, but you are heading in what I view as the right direction. I think there may be a gating factor left prior to acceptance. I've noted that for you in my comment. Fiddle Faddle 19:19, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Employer Tax Carve Out

edit

I have declined Draft:Employer Tax Carve Out because it attempts to sell a partisan legislative project. There is no such concept of the "Employer Tax Carve Out" outside of partisan channels. You might consider changing the focus to be about SB 1960 specifically should Congress approve it. Before then, this is just a bunch of posturing. Please do not attempt to use Wikipedia as your political soapbox in the future. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:27, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
