Hi adminstrator, Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Piper Perri. Deletion arguing that this pornstar is not remarkable enough is completely subjective and it is not based on evidence. Piper Perri is one of the leading pornstar in Spain! the page in question was removed in a poll, but the page was created without quality and resources, which was deleted, but the page I created was created with a lot of resources and translated from Spanish The porn star has starred in about 400 films and has been nominated for several AVN Awards and Pornhub Award.--{{user|CeSoe}} talk 20:27, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- @CeSoe: It was regularly deleted, not deleted under the soft deletion practice, because it received sufficient participation to gauge a consensus. As such, no lone administrator can overrule or restore it for you unless you can provide new sourcing that demonstrates that the subject passes the notability criteria on the English Wikipedia. Whether or not it passes on another edition is non-material and irrelevant to here (see WP:OTHERSTUFF). A good explanation of the deletion process can be found here. @Liz: was also the last one to delete the attempt and probably should've been contacted. --TheSandDoctor Talk 13:39, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Happy Fourth Adminship Anniversary
Importing userscripts
Hi TheSandDoctor, importing userscripts from non-sysops gives them access to your toolset. It's not as bad as if you were a checkuser or oversighter, but "advisable" would be an overstatement.
Fortunately, if you trust the current code not to become malicious over time (e.g. by importing stuff that could be changed later, or by having a timer after which it turns evil), a solution is to use the following syntax to pin one specific revision:
mw.loader.load('https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh/Angrenamer.js&oldid=1082732803&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript');
Alternatively and more simply, as everything is freely licensed, you may like to create a copy of the current code in your own userspace and import that instead.
Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:21, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
- @ToBeFree: That is a very good point, thank you for raising this. I don't know why I never thought of this. I have gone through my user scripts and think I got them all now. Please let me know if you notice anything I missed. --TheSandDoctor Talk 16:45, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick fix! Looks good to me ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:54, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Recent changes
- The Wikipedia App for Android now has an option for editing the whole page at once, located in the overflow menu (three-dots menu ). [8]
- Some recent database changes may affect queries using the Quarry tool. Queries for
site_stats
at English Wikipedia, Commons, and Wikidata will need to be updated. Read more. - A new
user_global_editcount
variable can be used in abuse filters to avoid affecting globally active users. [9]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 21 June. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 22 June. It will be on all wikis from 23 June (calendar).
- Users of non-responsive skins (e.g. MonoBook or Vector) on mobile devices may notice a slight change in the default zoom level. This is intended to optimize zooming and ensure all interface elements are present on the page (for example the table of contents on Vector 2022). In the unlikely event this causes any problems with how you use the site, we'd love to understand better, please ping Jon (WMF) to any on-wiki conversations. [10]
Future changes
- The Beta Feature for DiscussionTools will be updated throughout July. Discussions will look different. You can see some of the proposed changes.
- Parsoid's HTML output will soon stop annotating file links with different
typeof
attribute values, and instead usemw:File
for all types. Tool authors should adjust any code that expects:mw:Image
,mw:Audio
, ormw:Video
. [11]

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022
Hello TheSandDoctor/Archives/2022,
- Backlog status
At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.
Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]
In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).
While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).
- Backlog drive
A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.
- TIP – New school articles
Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.
- Misc
There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}
, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:
Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 13790 articles, as of 10:00, 28 November 2024 (UTC), according to DatBot
There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
- To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.
