Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:Mega Man (Archie Comics).png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mega Man (Archie Comics).png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 09:46, 29 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Recent images

edit

Hello, TheSpiderKid. Welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your recent edits to both Mega Man (character) and List of Mega Man X characters. I see that you have uploaded two new Mega-Man related images. Here are some things to keep in mind when uploading images:

  1. All images require a license tag. Here on Wikipedia, copyright can be a big issue- especially with images. So, with things that are copyrighted like Mega Man, you will have to scale them down and use them only once in an article. The best tool to upload files is the File Upload Wizard.
  2. When adding a new image to an article, it would do you best to talk about it with other editors on the article's talk page. Every article has a talk page where editors can converse about edits. Keep in mind that Wikipedia runs on consensus, which means you have to let people know about big changes to the article.

Both your new images are fine. Now, for the X entry on the list of Mega Man X characters: perhaps the article might need an image. If you have an image of all the Mega Man X characters in a group, then maybe you can add it to the beginning of the article. Just remember to scale it down and use proper licensing.

Non-free rationale for File:Mega Man X.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mega Man X.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 31 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Mega Man (Archie Comics).png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mega Man (Archie Comics).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:43, 2 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  -- ferret (talk) 14:34, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I wrote this on my talk page, but posting here again so it's clear. Since you were challenged with the addition of your Mega Man image, you must follow the "bold, revert, discuss" policy and discuss why you want the image added. Start the discussion here: Talk:Mega Man (character). If you achieve consensus there, you can re-add the image to the article. Continuing to re-add the image to the article without discussion is considered edit warring and not allowed. TarkusABtalk 14:45, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Captain Tsubasa characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alternate reality (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Captain Tsubasa (Tecmo) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Captain Tsubasa (Tecmo), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Babingtoncaptaintsubasa2.png

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Babingtoncaptaintsubasa2.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Thank you for uploading File:Doutorcaptaintsubasa2.webp. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Captain Tsubasa (Tecmo), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:25, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Captain Tsubasa (Tecmo)

edit

Hello, TheSpiderKid. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Captain Tsubasa".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 22:03, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
