Requesting an IP address block exemption, because my IP range has been blocked for 3 months due to one or more disruptive editors using similar IPs. I have tried the steps listed at http://whatismyipaddress.com to change my IP address, and it didn't work. Please add IPBE so that I may continue editing as normal.. Checkuser evidence confirms you've abused multiple accounts. Mike V • Talk 20:37, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

What exactly do you mean by "abused multiple accounts"? I do have 2 methods of editing. One is with this account and the other is editing while logged out in insecure locations before the rangeblock hit my IP address. I understand what a block is, but I don't understand what this "multiple accont abuse" is. Also, before my user page got blanked for some strange reason (most likely vandalism that I can't undo), I had added one of the userboxes created by Jéské Couriano which read "This user does not use or maintain sockpuppets". I believe that a sockpuppet is an illegal second account, although I am not sure. If this is true, this block was incorrect and most likely a violation of WP:BLOCK and/or WP:DONTBITE. My only "second account" is editing withot logging in, but according to policy, I don't think that IP addresses count as an account. Help! TF5 (talk) 21:03, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

We've been through this multiple times before. To spell it out for you: You have had multiple accounts in the past that were blocked, and the oldest of which that's linked to this one (but probably not the oldest in absolute terms) is User:I Love Bridges. Creating a new account to evade a block on an existing account is considered sockpuppetry and will see the new account blocked, too. The IP rangeblock that you ran into was implemented to stop sockpuppetry. Functionaries with the CheckUser right looked into your request to be granted IP block exemption and found that you were the person the block was meant to stop in the first place (a finding I find utterly unsurprising given the behavioural evidence). Ok. I admit to it. I have had multiple accounts. I have lost talk page access on all of my accounts except this one and ChecKemzV. However, I decided to appeal from my most recent one. I admit that I was using multiple accounts the wrong way. Please unblock me. If I am unblocked, I promise to not create hoax bridge articles, not engage in sockpuppetry and make useful contributions instead. Respectfully submitted, TF5 (talk) 23:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

Pass. You've racked up a pretty good history of hoaxes and lying, so it's difficult spot the few moments when you're actually being sincere. No hard feelings, this is just the side effect of not having any personal integrity. Perhaps look at WP:OFFER, but that's going to be tough. Kuru (talk) 01:02, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Just FYI that I have forgotton the password to some of my earlier accounts including I Love Bridges, and so unblocking those wouldn't get me anywhere. Please unblock one of the most recent accounts. Thank you. TF5 (talk) 23:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, now that I think about it, unblocking me now wouldn't do much good because I would still be hit with the darn IP range hardblock, unless the rangeblock can be changed to anon. only or I can be granted IPBE. TF5 (talk) 00:10, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
@Huon: Please continue the discussion from IRC here. I will see it when I return from my work meeting. Thanks. TF5 (talk) 20:14, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
