Hello, I'm Ammarpad. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Flash fiction. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 22:24, 21 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I was unaware that using a business email address was against the rules, for that I apologize. I have made many contributions to Wikipedia under another username and plan to cease using this one since it is tied to a business. I still do not understand why this blew up however since I was trying to add to the value of the page through an infographic. I tried to explain that and asked for help to just add the infographic instead of an external link. That is when I was banned. I realize that this account will probably never be unbanned, but I felt this needed to be said. For a community that is supposed to help others out and provide information, I was shocked that after I apologized for placing an external link and asked for help on how to rectify the situation and still provide the beneficial information, I was banned. This is counter to being helpful.

Decline reason:

This "blew up" because you added a link to a site which matched your user name. If I added a link to jpgordon.com, the same would happen to me. (Not that I have anything to do with jpgordon.com, as it happens.) You have to change your username if you want to continue editing, and you can't put links to your own websites into Wikipedia. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 00:22, 22 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
