Karan Distinct Caste

edit

Hi, I noticed your contributions to Karana caste page, can you please add one more important detail about the community that Karanas strongly refuse to identity as Kayastha here's the link for the source (Archeological Survey of India), https://books.google.co.in/books?redir_esc=y&id=1nYMAQAAMAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=Das+Mahapatra

Hello , if you have more strong source of your claim regarding this topic , then kindly provide, there is a lot of confusion regarding karanas of odisha and karn kayasthas of Bihar & Bengal The coderXE (talk) 20:22, 16 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
i think we can add a line that some Karanas view themselves as a separate caste distinct from Kayasthas although their functions might be the same based on the above source provided, will be glad to know your views on this
