Image tagging for Image:Puglieseorchestra1.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Puglieseorchestra1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Welcome
editHey!!
Your edits to Argentina are very good! I have a favor to ask. Would you mind making all the saves together? what happens is that you already saved around 100 times, and it is very difficult for us to follow and read what you changed. Just click "Show Preview" to see if you like the result and then "save" when you're ready. That way you'll make it easy for us to read your changes and you won't "clog" the history page!
Thanks, and gracias por editar!!!

PD: Check out these pages. WP:ARG and WP:ARNB~~
Thank You
editI have no idea if you will read this, or where should I have gone to reply back.
I am now working to not breach etiquette any further and apologize for the severe inconvenience caused. I do not know how to create the 'signature' at the end of these comment paragraphs (with your name and date), as you have above. If you could explain how I do this it would be highly appreciated.
- Use four tildes (~~~~). When you save the page, they'll be converted to username+date (those I just used were not because I used a special tag -- check the code for this page and you'll get the idea. Most people prefer replies to be posted at their own talk pages, but it's fine; Sebastian is probably watching this page.
- The main reason to avoid multiple edits is that, in the middle, some vandal may have changed something elsewhere. Then you edit again, and all we see is your last edit. Vandals sometimes use this technique to hide small changes.
- Don't feel intimidated by Wikipedia. When in doubt, just ask. Once you're sure, you won't need to. You don't need approval or consent from the administrators to change a page; and all editors, not only administrators, and including you, have the right to correct others. Administrators are not in charge of pages; everybody must watch for and take care of them. Have a happy wiki'ing! —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 17:15, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Barnstar
editI awarded you this in recognition of your fine work so far. Keep it up! --Guinnog 23:54, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Martín Fierro + Facundo
editRegarding that, I actually didn't like trimming the paragraph, but I felt it was too detailed for the main article. Argentine literature, on the other hand, could use an expansion of it, but remember you need to reference published works or the like. Good-quality websites and online PDFs are as good as books and essays only available in paper. You already know how to phrase things and cite their sources, which is amazing for a starting editor; the Barnstar you earned is well-deserved. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 15:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Argentina in es:
editI suggest you post a notice/request at WP:ARNB so everybody knows what you're trying to do. In the meantime, you can translate by bits. Getting lots of content from one article into another without duplicating content or otherwise messing it up is rather difficult, so be careful. As for the pictures, you have to check where they're hosted at. There are two cases:
- If the picture is hosted in the Spanish Wikipedia, rules may be different from those in the English Wikipedia. In most cases this is not a problem, but it means you'll have to (manually) download the picture from es:, and upload it again for use in en:. If you need to do that, check the Commons.
- If the picture is being used in es: but is actually hosted at the Commons, then you're free to use it anywhere. This is probably the case with most pictures.
The Wikimedia Commons are a repository of freely available material. It's huge and a very good idea, but you have to have an independent account there and learn a set of rules that not exactly like those of Wikipedia. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 20:54, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Fouled up editing in Argentina article
editSomeone has messed up editing at the Argentina article.
Who does the 'restore' to a the last previous correct version? Thank you. The dugout 18:16, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry for taking so long. Apparently a British wikipedian living in London, 86.131.102.8 (talk • contribs), vandalised the article Argentina on 17:50, September 22. [1] Commonly, counter-vandalism bots patrol all articles and revert on sight this kind of edits, but if this does not occur you can restore the page clicking on the 'history' button on the top. Just select the revision ID (e.g. 17:16, 22 September 2006), edit the page, and then save it; the article will be automatically reverted to the chosen date. Hope this helps, —Aucun effort n'est trop grand 04:33, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Uganda!
editI deleted Ugandan rock on the valid grounds that the artilce content bore no relation to the title. On examination I realise that the text was not a copy of Argentine rock. I would be prepared to restore the text if you explain what is going on and give me a source for the text. -- RHaworth 22:09, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Impersonator
editYou've got a secret admirer: User:The dougout! —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 04:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry if I wasn't clear; I was just joking. The user in question is the one who's been vandalizing the Néstor Kirchner article under a number of identities. One of his tactics appears to be using names similar to those of previous editors of the article. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 01:25, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Rock argentino
Proposed deletion of Villanos
editThe article Villanos has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No references to indicate notability; so poorly written as to be completely unreadable, better to start over from scratch.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}

Unreferenced BLPs
editHello The dugout! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 49 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Pedro Aznar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 19:36, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
