Your UAA request

I removed your request to block User:Daaaaaaaaang.

There is nothing blatantly inappropriate about the name "Daaaaaaaaang", and in your TWINKLE-automated report you did not provide a reason why it was. In my opinion, it does not even merit a warning -- the name is rather short (shorter than yours) and not particularly confusing. Also, the user has never edited, and there is certainly no reason why such a mild name should be preemptively blocked.

Please take UAA seriously. When you post a report to UAA, you are requesting that a new user should be indefinitely blocked, so you should make sure that the block you are requesting is necessary and justified by policy.

I apologize, though, for my edit summary containing "stop using Twinkle". I recognize that that's a bit of a harsh instruction. I'm sure it's a great tool when used appropriately. I'm just getting a bit worn down by meaningless TWINKLE-generated reports on UAA, and I hope you can understand that.

Thanks for the response. You know, I won't be too surprised if Daaaaaaaaang ends up blocked for vandalism: the problem I encounter with defending the new users with poor choices of username is that 90% of the time they turn out to be vandals anyway. But the other 10% is the reason I do it. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 04:29, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
