Juneau International Airport

Hi Thedjb,

Just wondering what was 'unneutral' about much of what I wrote at JNU?
I believe that it provides needed background, and I provided both sides of the argument. NPOV doesn't have to mean we avoid all conflict, it means we fairly represent both points of view!! I'm going to leave it as is for now, but I would appreciate an explanation. You can reply here if you'd like.

• I removed a large part of of this section because, quite frankly, WP:AIRPORTS articles are supposed to be about aviation, airlines, the airport itself, etc...the largest part of this article is unsourced newsbits on the controversy surrounding its location. Not a single source is listed within the article, and as you probably know, original research is discouraged. My suggestion, to improve the article, would be to offer more info about the airport itself and, should you wish to include a section on the location controversy, provide multiple reliable sources. Also, phrases like "incredibly important" and "almost constant" are not exactly encyclopedic. Just my 2c.Thedjb 23:31, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Thedjb. You added a peice of information to Gonzaga University about Father Joseph Cataldo wanting to make this school for Native Americans. There is no citation that I have found which actually says this, even the embedded link which follows that statement. If you could find one, that would be great. Notable Anchorage residents

Hi Thedjb -

I re-redid the Alaska railroad section and added refs - just don't want it to sound like there is no passenger service in winter. Another factor is that the passenger service is a trivial thing compared to the financial and social importance of the freight aspect of the railroad, so seems inappropriate to introduce the railroad in the Transportation section without mentioning freight.

Could you do me a favor? Show me the grammer mistakes you mention in your edit note - I can't find them and Word can't find them - not trying to be unpleasent, actually am curious.

I just changed the Notable Residents again (to match a format I have seen on other wiki pages, e.g., Omaha). If you change it back I'll leave it alone.

This is my thinking:

1) The list disagrees with the heading. Is it not really a list of mostly (entirely?) former residents (i.e., non-residents) of Anchorage? (Who can tell? - there are no references).

2) The format is not in keeping with Wikipedia's format. Seems like most city entries have their list of notable children-of-the-city in a subarticle.

3) The list seems to imply that Anchorage has not produced any notable poets, doctors, military heroes, scientists, leaders... —Preceding unsigned comment added by CGX (talk • contribs) 22:49, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
