Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Schrödinger's cat, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Dr.K. (talk) 00:15, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

NASA copyrights

edit

RHaworth marked Observer (Quantum Physics) as a copyvio. Technically it's more like plagiarism, because the NASA site is in the public domain. (Work of the U.S. Government, see {{PD-NASA}}.)

Best practice would still be to rewrite the article independently, citing the NASA document as a source. Wikipedia doesn't have a good mechanism for distinguishing what parts of an article came from the public domain, and what were users' contributions—so to avoid confusion when people start citing the Wikipedia article, it's really preferable to have all of the content come from Wikipedia, and cite sources (like the NASA site).
