editHello, Thehueman. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page 19 Keys, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ButlerBlog (talk) 16:27, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Not only are you going to need to proceed with assistance based on your conflict of interest, this also seems to be a disambiguation issue. Note that we have millions of articles, and some of those articles about things that have the same or similar names. In those cases, disambiguation is necessary. The article you're trying to change here is "19 Keys" which is a British television game show. Evidently, you want to create an article about "19Keys". First of all, you have a conflict of interest so I will tell, you cannot create an article about your employer. If you do, it will be nominated for speedy deletion under WP:G11 - advertising and promotion. Articles can only be created if they meet our general notability guidelines WP:GNG, which means there needs to be significant coverage in secondary sources. We don't care about your youtube channel, social media, or self published sites. Those do not qualify for meeting general notability. If you can show that the subject meets GNG guidelines, you'll need to get someone to create the article for you. ButlerBlog (talk) 16:46, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- To avoid the issue of article hijacking (which is what is happening here, as noted in my previous comment), you may be able to start the article in draft space (see WP:DRAFT). I'm not sure about the CoI issues with that, but you can probably start the article and seek assistance to get it published (perhaps the Tea Room will be able to help you). Regardless, DO NOT go back to editing the original article to change it in any way for the reasons that I have already outlined to you. ButlerBlog (talk) 16:51, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
