AfC: John W Barber

Theonesean,

Today you declined my article on John W. Barber. I have since added weblinks to content to help you verify the sources. Also the sources are from the Chicago Tribune, The Robesonian (a North Carolina newspaper), and documented legal cases. So they all should be independent sources. If you need to view the robesonian articles I can send you my password to the newspaper archive site. Thanks! Cmorrison3 (talk) 17:12, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Please resubmit your article and I or another editor will re-review it. Thanks! TheOneSean | Talk to me 17:14, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Excuse me, I was not vandalizing. This article was submitted for page creation, and I followed the instructions provided for denying the claim. Again, not vandalism. Thank you. TheOneSean  |   Talk to me 18:00, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, you are quite right. Because the "Articles for Creation" template was in the middle of the page, I didn't see it. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:01, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! I apologize for being a little short tempered with you. I just have been busy, and I guess you caught me at a bad time. I trust everything is all right? Thanks. TheOneSean | Talk to me 11:14, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Well, there's plenty of that to go around. TheOneSean | Talk to me 11:20, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the coffee. I'm drinking it right now as I'm working on my next script. --CGPGrey (talk) 11:41, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Please do not remove all content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Mitch Lucker. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. (tJosve05a (c) 17:57, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

I provided an explanation. I blanked the page as to move a new article into its place. Please review the explanation before rashly reverting edits. TheOneSean | Talk to me 17:59, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
I'm sorry. I saw it directly after I undid your edit. I thought that I undid my edits, but aperently not.-(tJosve05a (c) 18:11, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Crowe

Hi Sean, New to Wikipedia, trying to get our page sorted out. Just looking for some guidance on our submission. I am just editing the content, making it more straight forward. Looking for a web reference to our Indie Band of the Month selection on 102.1 the Edge. [1]

Is there some way I can document our chart position on CFMU 93.3 FM? We have slipped down to #15 on the chart from #3, but the website doesn't document past positions. [2] Ay help or guidance you can offer would be appreciated. Cheers, Sean. Crowemusic (talk) 21:19, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Try the Wayback Machine, or ask the website administrators to send you an archived copy of their chart. TheOneSean | Talk to me 21:27, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Sean, working on it now.

Crowemusic (talk) 21:33, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi Theonesean, sent you an email message. Resubmitted with proper references, removed the #3 Chart position claim until archival proof arrives, at which time I'll edit if and when claim can be substantiated.

Crowemusic (talk) 16:11, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Great! I hope your archive comes in soon. I hate when technicalities prevent stuff like that. I or another editor will review your submission soon. TheOneSean | Talk to me 16:19, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Dr KK Anand

Hi. Good Morning.

I have seen that you have declined the article creation on my father, Dr KK Anand on 5th April. I would really like to know what further specific changes would you like. We can make them.

I had made significant changes since the 1st version which was declined on 13th Jan. Since its's the 1st contribution to Wikipedia, I am learning on what are the requirements. - In the 2nd version, I took the held of another person to make it more formal and also removed mostly all peacock terms and made it very fact based. - We had also substantiated the 2nd version with good independent and reliable sources: media websites (economic times - india's 1st newspaper group), online book stores (amazon uk, rediff.com - india's pioneering commerce company), institutional websites (leading associations where Dr Anand was involved which substantiate his links), corporate websites (godrej - this is india's top 10 business group, very well respected. Forbes ranks them amongst richest Indians: http://www.forbes.com/profile/jamshyd-godrej/; http://www.rediff.com/business/slide-show/slide-show-1-what-fortune-500-cos-can-learn-from-tatas-godrej/20121029.htm) - You have also referred to the fact that I as the author have a Close Connection to the subject. Agreed. I am writing this on behalf of many people who believe that he was a 'great man and management thinker. Sadly my father passed away on Jan 22 yet that showed me as his son the number of people who wrote in to share the impact he had made in the lives of companies, institutions and individuals. If you like, I can get the article authored by someone else, if the rest is all ok. Your call?

I await to get your feedback. Hope we can take this forward.

Best Regards,

Sumeet Sumeet Anand 1122 (talk) 04:24, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Sumeet, thank you for contacting me. Being close to the subject matter does not necessarily disqualify the article, but it does bring it under scrutiny. If you could have a third party proofread and edit it to make it more readable and objective, that would satisfy most editors need for objectivity. The article you have is plenty good, it just need polishing. Thanks, TheOneSean | Talk to me 11:21, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Good Evening, Thank you for your feedback. I have now made further changes to the article. I hope that it is not acceptable. Thanks in advance for your time. Best Regards, Sumeet Sumeet Anand 1122 (talk) 14:38, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

T Heininger rejection

You recently rejected http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Tom_Heininger and I'm at a loss why. Sorry to bother but "secondary reliable sources separate from the subject" are provided yet appear to be the reason for the rejection.

Thanks in advance for any clarity or guidance.

Jbeaul (talk) 22:29, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Jbeaul, let's assume for a second that Mr. Heininger is notable. I'm not opining that he is, or that he isn't. This is purely for the sake of argument. You have lots of unsourced material (the "Currently" section, the paragraph about the Dealer Expo, "business differences caused Heininger to sell his portion of Webco.", etc.). Either remove the unsourced material or find sources for it. Try using a news aggregator to find any news articles about Mr. Heininger. Thanks, TheOneSean | Talk to me 12:18, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Doctor Dracula, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cecil Brown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks. I had no idea it was a disambig. I'll change the link soon. TheOneSean | Talk to me 11:54, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

AfC: Alberto Gonzalez

Thank you for the article creation on Alberto Gonzalez (radio host). Could I please request that the disambiguation be (humorist) or (political satirist) radio host does not account for television, journalism and film reflected in his sixty years of work that included radio, but was not limited to it. Thank you in advance, CGLUQUE1958 CGLUQUE1958 (talk) 15:14, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Regarding recently moved Article Alberto González (radio host), about which I just requested your edit the (radio host) to (humorist) or (politicalcal satirist), I would also request that the accent over the a in González be removed such that Alberto Gonzalez (humorist), for example, could be more "searchable"; unfortunately, it seems that to search the article one would have to use the accent. Thank you in advance! CGLUQUE1958 CGLUQUE1958 (talk) 15:35, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

I would be glad to do this. Please nominate me for an adminship so I can move and rename pages. (this is sarcasm) Otherwise, request the move at WP:RM Thanks, TheOneSean | Talk to me 17:25, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi there, Thanks for looking at my article 'Object: Australian Design Centre'- it's my first one! I'm working on cleaning up my citations as you suggested - Can you tell me if my referencing on #5 has the correct info in the right order? I will amend as per your suggestions - I want to be an A class article! LOL! Thanks, Claret Sobe — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claret Sobe (talkcontribs) 04:09, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Claret, it looks good. Some minor formatting errors, but none that will prevent someone from finding the source. Assuming that the Master Architect has many authors, may I suggest Wooley, Ken and Ancher Mortlock and Wooley. 1999. The Master Architect Series etc for the author ordering. Also, read WP:CITESHORT for more information on citing works of literature and the differences between a "Notes" section and a "References" section. All in all, very good. Thanks!
