Using Wikipedia From School

edit

I noticed your message over at Amire80's talkpage on how you can use wikipedia at school. The answer to that question would be to use your account to login at school just like you would at home. Schools should be softblocked, meaning autoblock should be disabled. If the IP address of your school was blocked using the using the autoblock option your account will become blocked for 24 hours if you login from your schools IP address. The best thing to do if that is the case would be to write a message on your school IPs talk page using the {{unblock}} template to request that the autoblock disabled, if your school is blocked from editing its own talkpage you will need to either write down the IP so you can post an account from home, connect to [1] and request, email the unblock mailing list, or email an administrator to request that the flags on the block be changed. The flags that were used in the block will be visible in the Block Log. If you do not know your schools IP address you can find it by going to Special:Mytalk from school. As far as your spanish speaking skills you may be interested at editing over at the Spanish Wikipedia, or you may be interested in helping translate articles from Spanish. —Nn123645 (talk) 00:03, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
