Speedy deletion of Lightning Love (band)
editA tag has been placed on Lightning Love (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. RazorICE 14:54, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Lightning Love
editHi there, you were wondering why I popped the deletion template on Lightning Love (band), so here I am to explain it.
First things first, I did not delete the article. Rather, I simply tagged it for deletion, and an administrator took a look and deleted it. Hence, I didn't actually see any changes you had made, but an administrator might have and still have thought it wasn't following the guidelines.
Secondly, what I put on the article was called a speedy delete template, which pretty much just says to the administrators, hey look, come see this article, you can probably delete it with no problems. Now, you did contest that, so what you should have done (and I'm not sure if you did or not) is add a little "hang on!" template to it (I think you just write like "{{{hangon}}}" in the article (but only two { and two }, not three)). So, I'm assuming you didn't, and the administrator saw the speedy deletion thing and just deleted it; that would be why it was deleted after you made modifications to it.
Okay, but why did I put it up for speedy deletion? Well, I took a quick look on google for the band name, and I could not find anything really apart from a myspace page and an article on someone's blog that mentioned them briefly. Now, according to wikipedia, that's not really a "notable" band (as per WP:BAND, read that for information). At least, it didn't look like it was when I saw the article, but I don't remember (it was yesterday, many hours have since passed :P).
Anyway, I hope that clears it all up. If you do think they're notable, you could try making a page on your own userspace, such as here (this would be a page that belongs only to you and is not an actual article on wikipedia yet), and then move it on to normal wikipedia when you think it's all ready. Thanks and happy editing! --RazorICE 06:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
