Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Anti-globalization movement. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. You can't remove a citation needed statement without sourcing or removing the text, see WP:VERIFY. Doug Weller talk 15:44, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Doug Weller I removed the Citation Needed template because the linked wikipedia page contains a map and citations itself to the content that needed Citation. I felt there was sufficient citations in the linked wikipedia page and it was not necessary to keep the citations needed tag Thetukars (talk) 19:39, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The thing is, citations on another page are useless. They may not even be there tomorrow. Citations need to be on the page with the text being cited. Doug Weller talk 20:18, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
`Critics of this type of argument have tended to point out that this is just a standard criticism of representative democracy — a democratically elected government will not always act in the direction of greatest current public support — and that, therefore, there is no inconsistency in the leaders' positions given that these countries are parliamentary democracies.[citation needed]`
Do you think that the Citation is needed when talking about it being a Parliamentary Republic, or because, in general, the statement itself needs backing up? If it is about the statement in general, then I will admit that I was in the wrong for removing the Citation needed tag. The way I read it, I thought it wanted a citation for them being parlimentary republics. Perhaps more info could be added to the citation needed to make this clearer about what it wants a citation for. Thetukars (talk) 12:38, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
It’s for the critics bit. Doug Weller talk 12:56, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
