Hey there. I've noticed you've uploaded some new photos from Flickr over at Commons and I just wanted to let you know I've done a cleanup on the Edge and Orton photos to make them look a little better. Thanks for finding them. -- Oakster Talk 22:28, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. -- Oakster Talk 08:14, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
The image at the moment is copyrighted by the photographer, so it can't be used. I don't know if this will be possible, but there is a chance you could get this as free use if you ask the author to release their work under a free license such as CC-BY (Creative Commons Attribution license) or CC-BY-SA (Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike). I think this page might be useful for you. -- Oakster Talk 22:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

- Well I wouldn't say he was my favourite wrestler, but I definetly had huge respect for the guy. The whole idea of his family dead as well distresses me as well. -- Oakster Talk 23:38, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Great work getting the image up. -- Oakster Talk 21:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, thanks. -- Oakster Talk 11:34, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Well Suriel had rated it as B-Class a few weeks back and I would agree with him on this. The article is definetly well sourced. The only complaint I do have is that a source should really be used for the Marines paragraph as that is potentially libelous and could be removed by those guys heavily reliant on WP:BLP. Either way, nice work. -- Oakster Talk 21:05, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- That will do fine. Thanks. -- Oakster Talk 09:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Dodgers Wikiproject
Hi Zerorules. I don't know a great deal about wikiprojects (nor do I have a lot of time for Wikipedia, to give you a forewarning). What would be the benefit of a specific Dodgers wikiproject, given that there is already a baseball wikiproject? --BlueMoonlet 00:45, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

I have nominated this for the WikiProject Novels, Colloboration of the Month so that with ours we can get this up to GA status. It needs a few votes, but I don't think it will get it within a day, but I'm trying. SpecialWindler talk 07:08, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Shawn Michaels
That trivia was a bit tricky. I went ahead and took care of it by merging some of it into the article and deleting the rest. Nikki311 01:56, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
It is nowhere near ready to be put up for Good Article status. Right now, the only sources are from Online World of Wrestling citing match results. To be put up for a GA review, it needs a significant amount of citations from books, magazines, interviews, and other published sources. That shouldn't be hard, considering I'm pretty sure he's been mentioned in every wrestling-related book I've ever read. Nikki311 02:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
characters for LALD (novel)
Well basically just an quick overview of all notable characters. Like For Special Services#Characters in For Special Services, see how it brefiely describes the characters of the book. Or you could do it like Octopussy#Cast except simply remove the cast, just having the characters.
The point of this is because the characters are important, and although alot of the characters have articles on Wikipedia but don't mention what they do specifically in this book. Eg. From the James Bond (character) page can you find what he did in LALD novel? No, so people want to know. I've only read LALD once about 7-8 years ago and can't remember too much, So if I was to take the film as an example (which could be wrong)
- James Bond: A british secret agent, working for Mi6, who travels to New Orleans, New York and Harlem to find a drug smuggling villain.
- Mr. Big: A influential goverment official for (Harlem, I think), plans to smuggle drugs throughout the world
Something like that. So that people can see what the characters are, mainly characters that don't have articles of their own. SpecialWindler talk 22:21, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Probably some more, even very minor ones. See Casino Royale (2006 film)#Cast. I dont know if youve seen it but there is a person called Mendel. He only got about 3-5 minutes of screen time in a 2.20 hour movie, so it doesn't have to be notbale. SpecialWindler talk 02:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Please note that this is the novel page not the film page. There are differences between the characters in the film and the original ones in the novel. The character section for the novel should reflect the novel, not the film. Cliff smith 20:06, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Pedigree
To be honest, I don't think it'll really be that big of a deal in my opinion. If everything's sorted out with permission, then upload away and thanks again for your work. -- Oakster Talk 10:13, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hey there. I've just checked out your Pedigree image and I noticed there wasn't really any mention on licensing in the e-mails. I apologise for being fussy over this but it only really counts as "permission only" and so isn't free enough yet. Any chance you can get this sorted out please? Thanks and sorry about this. -- Oakster Talk 14:56, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Rebecca Curci
im wondering why you removed the image of rebecca. and why you added the stub in the discussion page requesting another image instead of adding another image to the article yourself.Xchickenx 01:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
if your so determined to improve the quality of the article (which you have shown by adding stubs to the discussion page), then why dont you add another image yourself instead of recommending other users do it? Xchickenx 04:32, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
is there even any sites which have applicable images? most of the sites with photos of curci aren't appropriate due to the copywright infringements. the only site (that ive found) which has decent images of her is [www.forever-shawn.net]. it states that no copywright infringement is implied, but the image was still deleted. so that why i asked if you knew any reliable sites, as you obviously know what youre doing. Goldfinger (film) passed to GA status early. While you are free to work on this article because it still is out Collaboration May I suggest you work on Dr. No (film) Which was out first collaboration but has yet to make GA Status. |
SpecialWindler talk 01:53, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thats all right, seeing that Live and Let Die wasn't the most popular James Bond item in the world, very few people would be able to help. Goldfinger (film) is much more notable. I'm not trying to discredit the novels, but its no secret that the films are more popular than the novels. SpecialWindler talk 01:11, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Shane McMahon
Hey. I just took a look at Shane McMahon's article. There's a little bit of cleanup I want to do, like moving citations behind the punctuation and a few other grammar issues. Overall, I think it's looking pretty good. It could use some more reliable sources, though. There have to be books or news articles about him. Especially about his "purchase" of WCW and the whole "death" of McMahon storyline. I'll look for some. Nikki311 01:34, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks man

Hi,
I was wondering if you would vote for this film as the next James Bond Collaboration at Wikipedia:WikiProject James Bond/Collaboration of the fortnight.
The film is increasingly viewed as an epic, comic, satire of the whole James Bond genre.
Thanks,

Thanks for your vote.

legend killer
sure, why not? He called himself the legend killer back in 03 and worked that theme all along, so it's not really a new theme or storyline. The only difference is now, with Rated RKO done and the title out of his reach (he's not exactly in the champ scene now) it seems to be the only thing he's doing. In fact, he's really knocking out his opponents, making him even more aggressive and bloodthirsty. I say go for it, but I warn you, that even though the year is nearly done, some storyline change may inspire another wikipedian to change it.--Screwball23 talk 23:01, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
