edit{{helpme}} Hello there, I just CANNOT make the Categories work. I have tried coding it in all the ways I found in the help, but it just doesn't work for me...
- The problem is you're following the help pages too literally :) You don't need the \"<code><nowiki> bits, just [[Category:My category]] is enough. Hope this helps! - Tangotango (talk) 14:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Notability of Pucci Dellanno
editA tag has been placed on Pucci Dellanno, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tangotango (talk) 14:45, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Please add to the article a mention of why Pucci Dellanno is sufficiently notable enough to be included on Wikipedia, along with reliable sources; if you cannot, the article will have to be deleted per our policies. Cheers, Tangotango (talk) 14:49, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi. If you wish to avoid having this article deleted, you will have to add citations from reliable and verifiable third-party sources. You may want to check first, however, to see whether Ms Dellanno is a suitable subject for a Wikipedia article. Here are some relevant guidelines and policies that may help you:
Here are some links relevant to citing sources:
- Wikipedia: Reliable Sources
- Wikipedia: Attribution
- Wikipedia:Verifiability
- Wikipedia: Citing Sources
Also, if you are a close associate of Ms Dellanno, please review Wikipedia's guideline on conflict of interest:
deletion
editHi there, thanks, I am working on this - and thanks for the category tips.
I am working on the sources right now!
- Hi again. It looks like the article has since been deleted. Once you have assembled the materials necessary to meet the notability criteria, you may ask to have the deletion of the article reviewed --Rrburke(talk) 15:06, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
helpme
edithello there, I am trying to put an infobox in my page about Pucci but I can't work out how to do it. can someone help please? thanks very much.
- I have added an example to the article ({{Infobox Person}}). You could get the idea from examples like Bill Gates or Bono. You should also try to get reliable sources to verify the article (to demonstrate the notability of this person), eg from newspaper articles and books. Otherwise the article may be deleted.--Commander Keane 09:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh, by verify I just meant that there should be citations that verify the facts in the article, it is not necessary to have another user verify the info.--Commander Keane 10:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately none of the links really discuss Pucci herself (and many don't mention her at all). Unless some sources are found (and it can be hard/impossible for some subjects) then the article won't be able to meet Wikipedia:Notability. Perhaps the article could be redirected to her biggest project?--Commander Keane 11:21, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
redirect?
edit{{helpme}}
hello, would it be approrpiate to create a redirect from Bridget Grace or Bridgett Grace to Pucci Dellanno, and if so, how can I do it, please?
- The instructions are listed at WP:REDIRECT. Miranda 13:45, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Libertine-tattoo.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Libertine-tattoo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:53, 21 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 20:53, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
citing sources and references
edit{{helpme}}
hello there, people have tried inserting a range of sources as references in the text of the article, but every time I do this someone comes along and takes them out.
I think this is done because of too many references, but isn't this a catch 22 situation? if we can't add any more references, weblinks etc., why does the article still show that it needs more?
thanks very much.
Thom
- Can we have an example?Blacksmith2 talk 08:35, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
hi there, thanks for your response.
edityes, if you look at the history of the page, I had inserted sources about the articles and contributions, see here:
"Pucci writes as a reviewer for live music and new releases for a range of fanzines, from Subba Cultcha to Screaming Tarts[1]"
and the promoting activity, see here:
"Pucci is now retired from promotions, although she is still very active in the mediation and tour arrangement for a large number of artists.[2]"
and also see here:
"These events took place throughout the UK (e.g. Brighton, London, Newcastle, Liverpool) and acts featured include[3] The Libertines, Special Needs, Lisa Moorish's Kill City, The Bandits, Tramp Attack, The Pedantics, Towers of London, Black Wire, The Cribs, Metro Riots, Junkbox, New York's Elefant, Dustin's Bar Mitzvah, Selfish Cunt, The Paddingtons, The Blue Van. She also provided rock superstars Arctic Monkeys with their first ever concert outside of their home county of Yorkshire, in January 2005[4], and arranged for their now famous first London appearance at her friends' Flook's event Upstairs at the Garage, on 18 February 2005."
but these reference links to external verification have all been removed at some point or another. I do understand that they may be TOO MANY, if they're not needed can someone remove the 2needs verification" tag?
thanks for your help.

Regarding edits to Pucci Dellanno
editThank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Thomaslear! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule groups\.myspace\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Hi there,
edit{{helpme}}
I have tried citing better, but that pesky shadowbot reverts my changes with proper citing, naming etc.
I guess there is no way out.
thanks for your help though.
Thom.
Thomaslear 10:02, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Shadowbot reverted you because you added a link to a Myspace group. See WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided, point 10. The rest of your edit shouldn't have caused problems, but because Shadowbot is an automated bot it isn't intelligent to revert just the problematic part of the edit. (Clicking on the link in Shadowbot's message above will show you the edit you made, in case you've forgotten what you did.) --ais523 10:06, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Pinup Girls - Take Me Away.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Pinup Girls - Take Me Away.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? {{helpme}} hello there, I am once again reviewing the page for Pucci Dellanno on behalf of the label, and we are wondering if it is possible to delete the "call for references" that was placed at the top of the page right when the page was created back in 2007.
Also, we have again uploaded images of the vinyl, they are photos of promo vinyls and as such free for use (we have also provided them to other websites, i have inserted the link in the page for the pics just as a cross reference) - can we be "sure" they will not be deleted unless it is by some vandal?
Thanks.
Thom.
- The page still needs additional reliable sources to verify the information. The taq is appropriate. If this person is indeed "one of the foremost figures in the UK independent music promotions scene" sources should be easy to find. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:43, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- On further review. None of the provided references support the notability of the individual. Google hits do not support notability either. Without references to support the notability of this person, it is a candidate for deletion. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 16:06, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Pucci Dellanno
editI have nominated Pucci Dellanno, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pucci Dellanno. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 16:10, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Re: Pucci Dellanno
editYou can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I just wanted to let you know that you can request a deleted article be moved to your userspace so you can work on it. Also, you should read wp:coi about how to avoid violating policies regarding conflicts of interest. Good luck. ChildofMidnight (talk) 03:43, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm also adding a welcome template to the top of yoru page that has some links you might find useful or interesting. You can delete it, or other comments of your user talk page, although archiving is preferred. ChildofMidnight (talk) 03:45, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
The file File:WithGary.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
