edit This is your only warning.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Tamer Hosny, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Green Giant (talk) 07:14, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- I keep reverting your edit, because we do not accept allegations against anybody without independent and neutral confirmation. What you keep adding is slander and that is unacceptable. Green Giant (talk) 07:22, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
the opinion i put represents a huge amount of mainstream opinion on tamer hosny..and many egyptian newspapers expressed the same opinion i expressed in the article..and i labeled it ---->being hated, explaining the nature of the article..i am not slandering him..if i get reference to couple of sites, will u stop with ur warnings and deleting of my post?
- Firstly your personal opinion of Tamer Hosny is irrelevant. Read WP:NPOV to see what sort of opinions we have on Wikipedia. The references will have to be from genuine, reliable sources, so don't bother with blogs, personal websites and free websites. If you are going to make this sort of claim against anyone, you will need plenty of absolute evidence, such as a proper news website, or a respected journal, not just some teenage ranting on www.teenageopinionsofpopstars.com. Avoid using potentially libellous terms like "an arrogant, untalented, uneducated person". Before you start editing again, I recommend you read WP:NOT and WP:CS at the very least. - What do you wish to complain about? Green Giant (talk) 08:15, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Double standards" - You are quite welcome to complain about me at WP:DR, but you will find that I have done nothing wrong by reverting your edits and by issuing warnings to you. In fact it is part of the standard procedure here. If someone is editing in an inappropriate manner, then any editor can revert their edits and issue a warning. There are 4 levels of warnings, each increasing in seriousness. After four warnings we can report the actions to an administrator who can ban the editor or IP from editing. In your case, three warnings were issued to IP 41.178.237.65 (which is where I believe you were editing from before creating this account) followed by one warning to this talkpage. If you had continued, I would have reported you and we wouldn't be having this conversation.
- "my opinion was not professional" - actually on Wikipedia we don't include the personal opinions of any editor in articles even if they are experts in the field. We accept only independent and reliable sources of information.
- "you left the other postings on the page that arent real and posted by tamer hosny himself or his dedicated fans" - We are focussing on your actions here, so it will not change the warnings or reverts just because you think the page is false. Two wrongs don't make a right.
- However, I have noted that the article is very poorly referenced so I will make necessary changes to bring it into line with Wikipedia requirements after I have finished posting here.
- "these kind of postings piss me off and many others" - You will find I have the tendency to "pi** off" a lot of people but I only try to highlight the importance of the various policies of Wikipedia.

- "the information i am sharing based on the media and an important newspaper like Al Ahram" - The onus is on YOU the editor to provide information with a proper citation. Wikipedia does not require me to check on google for it.
- "as long as the reliable referance exists that backs up the article" - but equally YOU have to put it into the article. Simply saying it exists is not good enough.
- "i created the account so anyone who had any problem with what i posted could contact me and tell me the flaws in my article instead of deleting and banning me" - Again you are mistaken, read the text you wantd to add to the article and you will note that it is unreferenced and contains potentially libllous information. That alone is all I or any other editor here needs to revert you.
- "are you tamer hosny fan?" - Why do so many music fans need to ask this question? I have neither a liking nor a disliking for Tamer Hosny or Amr Diab or any other smalltime artist. I have never listened to any of their music and nor do I intend to. It is completely irrelevant to the matter at hand.
- I have fixed the Tamer Hosny article so that all editors who look at it will know that it is in need of references. Green Giant (talk) 11:27, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- "the information i am sharing based on the media and an important newspaper like Al Ahram" - The onus is on YOU the editor to provide information with a proper citation. Wikipedia does not require me to check on google for it.
- As long as you comply with Wikipedia policies regarding what Wikipedia is not, neutrality, verifiability, no original research, and especially biographies, by providing genuine references, then I shall not revert you. Green Giant (talk) 11:52, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
