Tim314
Hello, Tim314, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- If you haven't already, drop by the New user log and tell others a bit about yourself.
- Always sign your posts on talk pages! That way, others will know who left which comments.
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Simplified Ruleset
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Wikipedia Glossary
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.
Happy editing!

Request for comment, fluoride and hypothyroidism
editDear Tim314, Since you are one of the editors involved, I thought I would let you know about my request for comment on the whether fluoride should be mentioned in the hypothyroidism article. Please see Talk:Hypothyroidism#Request for comment: fluoride and hypothyroidism Rosemary Amey 02:27, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Gauss-Newton
editThanks very much for your expansion of our article on the Gauss-Newton algorithm. I've learnt something - that you need to assume that the sum of sqaures is close to zero - and that's what Wikipedia is about. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 02:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
BTW (Likebox)
editLikebox was indefinitely blocked from Wikipedia. Of course there's nothing wrong with you replying to him, but there's no guarantee he'll even read your message, and he won't be able to reply to it. Just letting you know.
BTW, if you're interested in helping with physics articles, feel free to join WikiProject Physics. We'll take any help we can get, so if you just feel like giving comments every now and then, or just be availible for questions, that's great. And if you feel like editing articles as well, even better. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 18:14, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Posting on talk pages
editWhen starting new sections on talk pages, please put them at the bottom, see WP:TOPPOST. The "New section" link at the top of the page will do that. Thanks and happy editing, Paradoctor (talk) 16:29, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, I wasn't sure which was the right way. Will do! Tim314 (talk) 23:30, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
