Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.
If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Dawn Bard (talk) 18:37, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Admin noticeboard
editHi there! I got the request you posted on my talk page, and I brought the issue to the Administrators' Noticeboard for you - I'm not an admin here, so my ability to help you on my own is limited. Please feel free to participate in the discussion here, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers, Dawn Bard (talk) 20:09, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
- To follow up on this: Hi, Ms. Obermeyer. I happen to be an administrator here. One of my colleagues has removed much of the objectionable material from the article, and I have started a discussion to delete it. These deletion discussions typically run for seven days, after which another admin will come along and make the decision to delete or not, based on the arguments presented. (Keep in mind that this isn't strictly a vote, but more of a discussion.) Please be patient with us; I don't believe that anyone will restore the objectionable material while the discussion is taking place. I hope this is satisfactory to you; Wikipedia generally prefers to have discussions before deletions (though there are some exceptions), and we like to try to establish a consensus before acting. You are free to join the discussion if you like; it is taking place at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Theresa_Obermeyer.
- Incidentally, I have used an administrative tool to remove your edits that contained your personal contact information from public view. Please don't take it personally or anything; this is purely to try to maintain your privacy, and doesn't mean that you've done anything wrong. Thanks; if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my talk page, or you can use the "Email this user" link to the left of my talk page to send me an email, if you prefer that. Thanks! Your recent edits
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:14, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Comments on election article
editI've moved your comments about the 96 election article here: Talk:United_States_Senate_election_in_Alaska,_1996. NE Ent 01:17, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
Comments at closed AfD
editI moved the comments you posted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theresa Obermeyer after that discussion was closed to the discussion Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2013 September 20. -- Jreferee (talk) 05:27, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- I've removed these same comments you also left at the bottom of the deletion review page because they were out of place there. If you would like to contribute to the review discussion, please do so in the thread linked to above. Sandstein 07:14, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
Policy on multiple accounts
editThank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. – Wdchk (talk) 12:31, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
