I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Getting the articles just right can be tricky - but there are lots of people to ask!

If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions.

There are several ways of getting help:

  1. Leave a message on this page. It is on my watchlist, which means that I can see when the page is changed!
  2. Leave a message on my talk page - just click on talk in my signature
  3. Go into IRC Channel #wikipedia-en-help
  4. Leave a message on this page starting with {{helpme}} followed by your question - someone in the IRC help room will be over as soon as possible
  5. Leave a question on the Help Desk or on the New Contributors' Help Page

By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~ at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Todayilearned) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.

I am now going to sign below this box with my signature, by adding ~~~~ here:

Noel Ashman

edit

I have restored and moved the above article to User:Todayilearned/Noel Ashman.

Please note:

  1. The user page will not be indexed by search engines. It is not currently an article, but a draft one, and as such should not be indexed.
  2. Should you not work on the page, I will reserve the right to delete it within a suitable time frame
  3. Should I look at the references you add, and find that they fail to meet the following criteria, I again erserve the right to delete it:
    1. Do not provide the significant coverage of Ashman required
    2. Do not verify the information being referenced
  4. When you think that it is ready to be moved to the main article space, either let me know and I'll have a look at it, or leave a message at Wikipedia:Requests for feedback

  • I have added proper references for the article, although now I feel there may be too many. Should I axe the earlier citations that were "snippets"?

Repost of Noel Ashman

edit

A tag has been placed on Noel Ashman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead recreating the page. Thank you.
