Request reason:
Why was I blocked? This is my first Wikipedia account. I use the "moe. wiki" page as a way to test out our internet, as well as moe.org. When the band's page became vandalized, I went to change it, but had to create an account to do so. Then I saw that many people have been making changes, so I made a request. Why would you block me for making multiple accounts? Who does that? Can someone help me out, here? TomE2n (talk) 16:37, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You created this account roughly 15 minutes after the IP address you were using was blocked. That's block evasion, which is not permitted. 331dot (talk) 12:22, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Reviewing admin - see this. Note similar behavior and accusations. --NeilN talk to me 16:43, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
What is this? I am asking that you FIX the vandalization. I didn't do it! Can an objective person please help? TomE2n (talk) 18:27, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Reviewing admin - I am not involved in this fight. I don't know NeilN, or his role in the vandalism of moe. page. I have been using Wikipedia articles to test out the functionality of machines on the internet. I use pages like moe.'s own "moe.org" website, because they are usually not searched for by my colleagues on their work computers. There was a sudden, blatant, and egregious change to the page. I have made no changes to the page. I logged in and asked a question. Now I'm blocked by someone who I don't even know.
1) Why was the page changed in the first place? 2) What did I do wrong? I made a request for an Admin to fix and lock the page so that further vandalism doesn't happen.
I didn't realize how harsh the Wikipedia community is. If this is how you treat someone who asks questions, then how will the site get any better? TomE2n (talk) ??? (unsigned)
New Section, Understood
editHi there, 331dot. I understand your thought on this. It "looks like" something, and you guys are acting in good faith. Check it out, I'm learning formatting. I copy & pasted your name, so I hope you can see this. No worries about the block. You'll see that this was just a misunderstanding. After it's over, can I remove all this unpleasantness (or request that all this unpleasantness be removed) from my talk page? Cheers, and see you on the other side! Who is NeilN, and why did he block me?
editHi there. I'm new to Wikipedia, just set up an account since I saw that my fave band's wiki page was changed, and wanted to edit it, and now I'm blocked. Yes, I attest to being a moe.ron (that is the funny moniker that moe. has bestowed upon their fans). Can someone tell me why NeilN thinks I am a "multiple account"? I use moe.'s pages as a way to test our internet at work. I've had a lot of machines to test, recently, and I noticed something peculiar about moe.'s page on the wikis. It now says "Moe" everywhere, even in the parts about moe.lennium, and moe.down. This is not correct. The concerts are known as "moe.down" and "moe.lennium". Why would someone vandalize the page to make such an egregious and blatant error?
I hopped on, set up an account, and then decided to ask some questions, since there is some kind of raging debate/war going on. Suddenly, I am being accused of being a robot or something. Look, you will have more moe.rons logging in to fix the page. I am asking that someone who has higher authority, who is not part of the debate itself, change the page back to the rightful representation of the band. Wikipedia seriously looks foolish for suddenly renaming the band, and not doing what it has done with any other artist in the past.
Either way, can someone please undo this block? TomE2n (talk) 18:35, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Good Faith
editHi there. I came here in good faith, so if I have to wait a week, I will. It is sad to see Wikipedia in error, and as a fan of moe., I thought I could fix things. After seeing all the stuff going on, I thought it would be the right thing to ask a question, instead of making any edits to their main page. For this, I have been confused with someone else. I will hope, as moe.rons (name for fans of moe.) come forward, Wikipedia admins will do the right thing and fix the page. I harbor no feelings towards NeilN, who (though zealous) has acted in a way that they felt was the right thing to do. I get the need to protect things, but have been caught up in a fight that I wasn't a part of.
I hope that, moving forward, they will see that I have the same goals in mind that they have. Cheers! TomE2n (talk) 19:28, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
