VisualEditor issue
editHi Tomberli,
WP:VisualEditor is adding and then automtically removing some "span" tags for just a handful of users. You seem to be one of the people affected. It's not your fault, but I need some information to figure out what's going on. Can you tell me what web browser, computer operating system, and Wikipedia skin you're using? (The "skin' is the appearance of Wikipedia; unless you deliberately changed it at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering, then it's the default [named "Vector"]; the older appearance is called "Monobook".) You can reply here, leave a note on my talk page, or send me e-mail. It would be really helpful to know thesee things if you don't mind. Thanks, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 07:23, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi Whatamidoing
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I use Google Chrom on OS X 10.9.1. Never changed the Wiki skin, so presumably it is still the standard 'Vector'. Cheers tomberli
- Thanks for the reply! Everyone else with this problem was also using Chrome on Windows (which is the most common choice among editors). I think we've got it sorted out. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:11, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for January 8
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tour de Ski, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alex Harvey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
