Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Tommythenodd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Silikonz (alt)💬 16:48, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

COI
editHi @Tommythenodd: You've made a disclosure on your user page which is correct but you also need to put a disclosure on the article talk page at Talk:London Irish Amateur per WP:DISCLOSE. That is to tell other editors you have a WP:COI. Once that is done, then from now on you need to use Edit requests to requests updates to the article. Post the edit request and somebody will come along and look at it to determine if its good. Use the WP:ER mechanism from now and everything will be cool. scope_creepTalk 08:44, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- scope thank you very much, all content I've added is cited and in the public domain.i feel harassed by a moderator with specific religious views and political alengence who is determined to undermine fact and publically available detail. Incidentally I am not an executive of London Irish Amateur, I sit in the executive in a non executive role.
- Thank you for your guidence, church of england could have offered these simple instructions,but choose not to. 2A00:23C8:6A14:7B01:DD0B:3CF0:F51E:11FB (talk) 10:24, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
