Kim Cloutier
Hi Tony. Regarding Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Kim_Cloutier, maybe it's time we draft a proposed subsection to the GNG, like WP:MODEL? Something similar to WP:ATHLETE, etc. It seems like there's no real agreement on what makes a model notable. Personally, it's pretty obvious that appearing in the SI Swimsuit Issue would confer notability, but it seems people disagree with me. Thoughts? - Burpelson AFB ✈ 15:11, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- I started a rough draft here [1]. Feel free to add comments. I've also posted notices about this at the talkpage for the Fashion Wikiproject and at the village pump. - Burpelson AFB ✈ 16:19, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Walter T. Bailey and the First Church of Deliverance
Hey Tony, hope all is well. I was wondering if you might happen to have a photo of the Chicago Landmark First Church of Deliverance on South Wabash. The church is a pretty stunning example of art moderne style and I just completed an article on the architect Walter T. Bailey which should be on DYK within a week or so. A photo would work great both in the church article and the architect's article so I thought I would inquire as to whether you had one or could obtain one with relatively short turn-around. Thanks. IvoShandor (talk) 06:32, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oh well. Thanks for the prompt reply. IvoShandor (talk) 09:37, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Main page appearance
Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on December 10, 2010. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/December 10, 2010. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk · contribs). If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! The Exelon Pavilions are four structures which generate electricity from solar energy and provide access to underground parking in Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, USA. The pavilions provide sufficient energy to power the equivalent of 14 Energy star-rated energy-efficient houses in Chicago. The four pavilions, which cost $7 million, were designed in January 2001; construction began in January 2004. The South Pavilions were completed and opened in July 2004, while the North Pavilions were completed in November 2004, with a grand opening on April 30, 2005. In addition to producing energy, three of the four pavilions provide access to the parking garages below the park, while the fourth serves as the park's welcome center and office. Exelon, a company that generates the electricity transmitted by its subsidiary Commonwealth Edison, donated $5.5 million for the pavilions. Chicago Tribune architecture critic Blair Kamin praised the South Pavilions as "minor modernist jewels", but criticized the North Pavilions as "nearly all black and impenetrable". The North Pavilions have received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver rating from the United States Green Building Council, as well as an award from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. List of Michigan Wolverines head football coaches
Tony, I've been trying to get List of Michigan Wolverines head football coaches promoted to Featured List. I've gotten some good feedback on the article, but the process seems be languishing a bit. I know you have a ton of experience with GA/Featured content nominations. When you get a chance, can you weigh in at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Michigan Wolverines head football coaches/archive1 and/or let me know if you have any advice for bringing this nomination to closure? Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 19:21, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Requesting comment on status of WSOP bracelet templates
Heya! I've posted a section on Wikiproject Poker's talk section regarding the four WSOP Bracelet Winners templates that I made. I'd very much appreciate a comment from you, if you've the time. Thank you! JaeDyWolf ~ Baka-San (talk) 13:53, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Just to let you know that I missed something that still needs to be addressed with regards to the AP pre-season rankings source; see the additional comment at the GAN there. –MuZemike 19:35, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Maurice Douglass
I'm afraid I had to fail this article (review here) as there were quite severe problems with referencing and two with copyvio: I did not feel I could leave it open with these issues. However, other issues were minor and if the ref issues are fixed, I would be happy to look again immediately if you renominate. Or you may prefer another reviewer to look or to open a GAR. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:16, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- I re-opened the nomination, but I would appreciate it, as I say in the review, if you could link to the appropriate page to make it easier for verifiability. Sorry for failing earlier, but as everyone is jumpy over referencing, I thought it best to do so. I did think there might be an explanation. --Sarastro1 (talk) 09:05, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I'm happy with the explanations and have passed the article as it is quite a nice piece of work. Well done and sorry for the confusion. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:09, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

I probably won't have a chance to review this until after Christmas. My guess is that there's probabaly sufficient coverage to warrant an article. He was Michigan's leading rusher in 2009. I just won't be able to check it out for at least a couple days. Cbl62 (talk) 18:56, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- By the way, best wishes to you for a happy holiday season. Cbl62 (talk) 18:56, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- Pardon the brain freeze. Shaw wasn't the leading rusher in 2009. I have a few minutes this afternoon and will take a preliminary look. Cbl62 (talk) 22:01, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Michael Shaw (American football)
On 30 December 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Michael Shaw (American football), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Michigan Wolverines football running back Michael Shaw was a teammate of Roy Roundtree at Trotwood-Madison High School, where he was coached by National Football League veteran Maurice Douglass? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
