Uniform policy on templates

I seriously doubt that we will convince WP:HOCKEY, but I think it is possible to reach consensus among WP:MLB, WP:NFL, WP:NBA, WP:FOOTY, WP:CFB and WP:WPCBB in a template policy. I have singled out these team sports because they all have well-developed professional leagues with large live audiences and national television contracts. Participants in these leagues are automatically encyclopedically notable. The examples below are all for the men's sports. This policy could carry for women's sports as well, but I think because the men's sports have the television contracts that make them higher paying, the athletes are slightly more notable. This policy could also apply to other non-high profile professional sports like lacrosse, but it is most relevant to the men's sports named above. The high school and college templates below all link likely successful professional athletes in a way that a reader of article A is likely to be interested in article B. The professional templates serve to link actual professional athletes in a similar way. Below I am putting down my thoughts that we might possibly agree to:
