All those speedys

Hi!

So I'm noticing a bit of a trend here. A lot of your articles -- stubs, really -- on various YTR series are being CSD'ed by me because of a few things:

• They don't assert significance

you don't say why it's important/give any information to signify that it has any meaning

• They aren't referenced

you externally link to sources, and don't include those at the bottom of the article in a "references" or "external sources" section.

• You're sourcing IMDB

we really don't like using IMDB as a source (or a main source) because of a lack of credibility at times

• You're not providing context

all of your articles are one line -- while Wikipedia does allow for stubs, they should be tagged... and preferably longer than just a sentence! flesh out your articles. back things up. make us understand the topic.

The Global TV Demand Awards‎

Thank you for your contributions. I looked at all of the references you included in the newly created article The Global TV Demand Awards‎. Unfortunately, most of them were either explicitly marked as press releases or they read as if they were press releases. Added together, the remaining ones did not demonstrate that this award show meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines.

I did not nominate the page for deletion yet because it is so new. However, I did mark the article as being of questionable notability.

What you can do: Read WP:Notability, WP:Reliable sources, and WP:Independent sources. Using only independent, reliable sources, demonstrate that the topic has received significant coverage.

Also, "weightness is not necessarily greatness" when it comes to the number of references in an article. While facts do need to be cited, you typically don't need more than one citation for a given fact, and the same citation can be used for multiple facts. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 23:12, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
