Welcome!

Hello, TracieB1283, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Biografer (talk) 20:20, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, TracieB1283. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 15:50, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Consortium for Information & Software Quality (CISQ) logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Consortium for Information & Software Quality (CISQ) logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:26, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit Request 19-NOV-2019

edit

Hello! I have reverted the post you made at Talk:CISQ because the post was not placed correctly. All new talk page posts need to be placed at the bottom of the talk page under a level 2 heading. That would look like the following:

==Edit request== ←(level 2 heading)
{{request edit}} ←(request edit template)
Please make the following changes:
(Text of edit request)

~~~~ ← (signature added using four tildes)
Please ensure that your requests placed on talk pages follow those guidelines. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask on my talk page. Thank you! Regards,  Spintendo  22:54, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
