Another Japanese transcribe

edit

Sorry for bothering you but could you also transcribe this page? I need it to show the original quote in the article Yu Kanda. Take your time since I'm not planning to make a review soon.Tintor2 (talk) 23:31, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request for possible good info about character's creation

edit

Greetings.

This interview contains the author of D.Gray-man talking about the possible ending of the series. I don't understand it since it's in Japanese but a user said it appeared the author would give the manga a sad ending with Allen Walker possibly dying. Could you give it a look to see if this is true we can add this information? It seems worthwhile for the articles. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 17:38, 17 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Nope, there seems to be nothing in there about a sad ending with Allen Walker possibly dying. The closest thing to that would be this question and answer.
Q: There is no simple way to resolve the story itself, is there? There is no poetic justice so to speak.
A: That's right, isn't it. That's why I wish I could be like "I cut you down, the end" like in historical dramas. TranquilHope (talk) 00:00, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 01:47, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Now I was told the rumors about the series' ending and Allen's future are here. Sorry if this bothers you but actually I think the interview has four pages. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 02:58, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
I read the other three pages, but I found nothing about his possible death. Most of it wasn't even about D.Gray-man. He talked about his strict sister a lot though. TranquilHope (talk) 02:48, 19 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry then. Still, thanks for reading it.Tintor2 (talk) 02:48, 23 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
No problem. TranquilHope (talk) 06:48, 23 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Could you explain to me the context of the poetic justice in the interview if you can? Is Hoshino stating that she doesn't want to end the series with a violent style?Tintor2 (talk) 17:54, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
She responds to the interviewer by agreeing. She then expresses a bit of jealously towards the fact that she cannot end her story simply, with poetic justice, where she can have the good guys defeat the bad guys just like in historical dramas. In the next question, they reference Abarenbō Shōgun, a show that does have poetic justice.
Q: "It would end just like this: Thank you Samurai-san."
A: "Yes, yes. Doing it like Abarenbō Shōgun would be nice. Watching it gives a feeling like "All right"! (lol)"
Essentially, she is saying it's a shame how she can't end her story simply with poetic justice like in historical dramas.TranquilHope (talk) 20:50, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Interesting. I'm learning more about literature, lol. Thanks for the info. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:59, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Important information

Sorry for bothering you again Hope but I was working on the article Lars Alexandersson and found a concept art here that might explain somethings about it. The reason why I am asking about this design rather than the original, it's because this concept art is discussed in the article a lot. Anyways, thanks for all the patience you have with me. Here I found two Japanese pages that might help to expand Ryo Sakazaki's article. If possible, I would appreciate if you could translate it here. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:07, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
For Normal, his outfit is a dougi + a tengu mask that is reminiscent of his father/Takuma, but for Another, he appears with a new stylish look. His foundation is his dougi's outdoor shoes combined with his shirt, but there is a version where he has a pattern on his back just like Karā E (カラーE). Karā G (カラーG), whose appearance was postponed, is making an appearance with the style of the outfit of the strongest Tiger Robert (虎ロバート, Tora Robāto) (I assume this is a name?). Karā H (カラーH) is wearing a kyougen style outfit—truly a tengu.
I'm not sure what the Karās are, but I'm guessing they're characters. TranquilHope (talk) 01:41, 26 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
I found another site about Lars which might be for the article but it's all in Japanese. I think only the upper text seems necessary. It's here? Could you check it. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:37, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Lars is a type of speed character with many exhilarating techniques, who also moves around the stage freely while excelling at attacking. On the other hand, when it comes to defense, he also excels at techniques that he can use to counterattack, so he is able properly fortify his defenses. Let's open up the path to victory by using his different moves to control the rhythm of the fight and toying with your opponent. TranquilHope (talk) 02:40, 7 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Seems good material for the article.Tintor2 (talk) 17:16, 7 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

This is a rough image of him with his transparent cyber body. Together with his cool beauty, the sorrow he is burdened with is conveyed.
There is also a design for his unique lightning swordsmanship. He uses his legs in addition to his arms to wield swords, resembling the actions of a ninja. TranquilHope (talk) 01:40, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I drew this just because it was fun, yep (lol). At first, I was just conveying my ideas of Hinata's image to my assistant. His move set shows his strength. His moves leave him open, but the EX version of 虎煌拳 does not leave him as open and it allows for easier combos. One questions asks about his NEO MAX move and the response talks about he has the image of being One Blow Guaranteed Kill (一撃必殺, Ichigeki Hissatsu), so his moves themselves were set in stone without difficulty. Yamamoto talks about how he favors it. Another answer talks about the design of a move. TranquilHope (talk) 03:56, 28 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

In KOFMI2, his jacket has been completely revamped and we have succeeded in bringing out his appeal. His Normal Color F is similar to his father's martial arts clothing. Color G is reminiscent of the costume design of Yuki, the protagonist of NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and a character that recently gained popularity in arcades. TranquilHope (talk) 03:28, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I've just realized that Kyo's Japanese Wikipedia article has some sources that might say something about how he changed designs in the games from KOF '99 onwards. Could you give it a check? Yagami Iori had a change to his characteristic hair style with Another and his image changed dramatically. Through the series, with his normal costume, he wears a short jacket and bondage pants. It is interesting how, without changing his design, by just changing his coloring, a diverse number of image variations can be brought about. With Color G, it is like the transient mood that appears in The Last Blade.
Ryou is an embodiment of fortitude and vigor that shines even when compared to other fighters. His normal costume is that same as the material arts uniform he has always worn. The design is the same, but there is a change of mood with regards to his Color F. It is reminiscent of Haohmaru in Samurai Shodown. With regards to his Color G~H, his refined sense is shown through his braided hat, ruler, and mountain ascetic style.
His Normal is a 胴着 (something that is worn between the upper and bottom layer of clothing) + tengu mask, which is reminiscent of his father Takuma, but with his Another, there is a stylish change of clothing. The combination of his shirt and 胴着 are standard, but there also exists a version just like his Color E with a design on his back. Color G appears as a style that brings to mind the clothing of the strong tiger Robert. Color H is kyougen-like and is truly like a tengu. TranquilHope (talk) 03:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The Last Naruto characters

edit

A fellow user found a guidebook containing data that might help to increase the real world information of one of the few anime FAs article: Naruto Uzumaki. There are some sketches here so I've been wondering if you could translate at least the most important parts.

Also, another article in a FA review, Sasuke Uchiha, has similar sketches here and here. Sorry for bothering you with these requests.Tintor2 (talk) 16:00, 7 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Left: It is wrapped around his left sleeve and put into place with a button. He has had it since he was a child. The Uzumaki symbol is also equipped on his arm.
Top: With the clothes he wears in missions, the functionality of his clothes is important. He has two different pouches that go through his belt and are equipped near his waist.
Bottom: It's also equipped on his forehead. After the fourth great ninja world war, he got a new one and it looks like the black cloth portion got one size larger.
Right: He cuts his hair short and in just two years, his height grew rapidly from 166 cm to 180 cm.
The middle is blurry. Sorry for the late response. This week has been busy. I'll get to the next ones later. TranquilHope (talk) 21:17, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks as usual.Tintor2 (talk) 21:52, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Second picture:
Top: Because Sasuke acts while hiding his identity, he usually covers his whole body with a decently large hood.
Bottom: Another comment about how his clothes are optimal for what he does
Left: I made Sasuke's design like a traveler. Unlike Naruto, I designed Sasuke with long hair. I originally decided to have his cover his left eye with his hair, which was something I designed during the halfway stage. Since he is a character that travels, I matched that with his coat that covers his left arm. In the anime version, blurry.

A fellow user found this guidebook which contains interviews with the staff of the movie. While I found the ones with Junko Takeuchi and Nana Mizuki (the leads), I am having trouble finding the one from Maruo Kyozuka (screenplay) as well as Tsuneo Kobayashi (director) since I don't know their faces or how their names are written in Japanese. Top left: Personal Clothing
The clothing she wears varies from girlish clothing to clothing that brings about an adult atmosphere. She views being able to move her feet as important, so she wears clothes with low heels.
Middle left: Different from always being embarrassed in front of Naruto, she wears a languorous expression, which is characteristic of a female that is deep in love.
Bottom left: She is able to put it on and take it off. It is the upper body portion of a dress. It goes in from the sleeves and waist. She likes the lines on it.
Right right: Mission User:
She can put it on and take off her belt's poach. Depending on the mission, she can fit in things of various shapes.
Right bottom: This simple attire is close to her best during the Fourth Shinobi World War and is very efficient.
Bottom right: Heading Towards the Theme of an Adult Woman
To make her more more like an adult woman, I designed her with a strong image in mind. However, drawing Hinata with a pretty and feminine face is difficult, so I largely left the task to Nishio-san, who is in charge of character design. Also, I went with a fixed design behind her waist so that pouch would not get in the way.
Other parts are blurry. TranquilHope (talk) 06:55, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Having another request. A fellow user created the article Nero (Devil May Cry) and it appears these sites might have information about his Japanese actor Kaito Ishikawa here and here. Could you give it a look? Don't worry if it takes too long. Real life is more important. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 19:38, 23 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for bothering but I also found this which might be useful. From what I understand it involves Nero turning into a demon but it was removed from the game.Tintor2 (talk) 17:32, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
First one:
Translations of his parts in the interview:
What impression did you have of Nero?
Nero is a character that appeared in DMC4. He was originally voiced by an actor overseas, so I voiced Nero by comparing my voice to what I got from the English character's voice. However, I am not good at English, so I could not pick up on the subtle nuances such as changes in emotion when Nero is happy or sad and when he is being cocky. Because of that, I would read the lines in the script and then from there, I would try to get a hold of what type of character he is.
You made use of the original English lines?
Rather than a new recording, it felt like dubbing. I took in how the original actor voiced him and portrayed him through easy to understand Japanese through my dubbing job. I did not have much experience with dubbing, so I struggled and had tough moments, but I learned a lot.
Comment from me: I wonder if English voice actors put this much effort into their work lol.
I think there are differences between recording lines for action games and anime. Did you notice anything about that?
I had almost no experience with voicing action games, so I frantically worked hard on everything i front of me. With the skills I acquired so far, I remodeled what I did my own way while and applied it.
What type of impression has DMC left on you?
My friends around me that play this series enthusiastically left an impression on me. I'm looking for forward to it because they might play a game in the series again after finding out that I am voicing him.
There is a recording of a discussion between you two on the official website. Do you have any thoughts about that time?
I was just nervous. When I debuted, I had an opportunity to meet Morikawa-san, but at that time, I thought that it would take decades to properly talk this him. With my connect with him this time, I was able to talk with him once again. In our conversation, I learned a lot from him teaching me things about DMC, acting, one's disposition as an actor, and a variety of things.
For the people who will play this game, is there anything you would like to direct their attention to?
I think the players will be able to enjoy the now more beautiful world due to the resolution increase due to the hardware that is now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. I recorded while viewing the PlayStation 3 version, so I understood from new graphics I was shown that improve is noteworthy.
Any last remarks for the fans?
To Morikawa-san's fans, thanks for waiting (lol). This is my first experience with DMC, but even I was able to enter into the the story right away from reading the script and the quality of this game has become high. And now that it's in Japanese and easy to understand, that will add to its appeal. This is true, of course, for people who have played this game before, but even for those who haven't, I would definitely recommend picking up a copy. Thank you very much. TranquilHope (talk) 07:51, 25 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. That's a lot about Ishikawa's experience. Already added to the article.Tintor2 (talk) 16:15, 25 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Found this 4 from an artbook in Japanese. This and this appear to mention Nero's early sketches while this and this seem to mention the character's devil appearance.Tintor2 (talk) 00:57, 27 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Second one:
Your character is Nero, who is different than Dante, the new main character of DMC4. Did you have anything that you kept in mind while recording?
Compared to Dante, who is an adult male that everyone looks up to, Nero is a character that encompasses the naughty young boy that everyone has experienced being. That is what I paid attention to while recording. When up against a strong enemy, would do things like put on airs and act cool. I think that it is noteworthy how Dante is a contrasted to Nero and how their interactions are like interesting chemical reactions.
There was that scene where Nero charged at Dante.
Every time, I played him like a puppy that lashes out against bigger dogs (lol). Dante is an extremely large figure to Nero, but Nero is not just following after his footsteps—he is opening up a path his own way to face him head on. Dante is a target of admiration and a wall that must be passed, which I think is an good relationship and I kept this in mind while recording.
What type of impressions do you have with Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition?
The story goes without saying, but exhilarating action is wonderful after all. I think things like the way of adding foreshadowing and different contraptions in the stages truly make the word "stylish" appropriate to describe the style.
Do you feel any differences between recording this work and other games?
After all, I think that having an original recording makes it easier. Just like what Morikawa-san said, when you're recording the voice for a character in an anime or game for the first time, you usually think of how to add the voice from zero and many times, your idea will be used just like that. That's nice and all, but when there is an original recording, you start to think things like "How should I express these emotions?" and you're able to see ways of acting that I wouldn't have thought of myself before, so I learned a great deal from this. This is especially true in this game where they talk in action scenes and where they bring out jokes come out, but the way that they move their mouths and speak is certainly western. Because of that, to bring out a similar atmosphere, I have to first train my mimetic muscles and start speaking while imitating emotion.
What do you think of Dante's voice?
Morikawa-san stared recording first, so actually, I had already heard Dante's voice when recording Nero's lines. Ever since then, I've thought this since hearing Dante's voice, but again, seeing the visuals being matched his voice was so cool. While bringing out a hard-boiled atmosphere, Dante is always calm and strong when it came time to fight. Nero, on the other hand, is a someone who comes at people straight on, so I forget the fact that I'm acting, and I cheer on Dante while cheering him on like "Don't lose. Do your best!"
I am looking forward to the Japanese voices. Lastly, do you have anything to say to the readers?
I am actually a beginner when it comes to the DMC series and it was my first time having a go at it, but even a beginner like me was able to enjoy the refreshing action scenes. The story is excellent and there is value to completing everything in the game, I would be happy if you could play it to the end. TranquilHope (talk) 09:21, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I that's enough from Ishikawa.Tintor2 (talk) 16:11, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Image 1, 2, and 4 are by 吉川. There is no name on image 3.
Image 1:
This is Dante designed with the addition of his intense personality and the body to contend against others. Rather than a young boy, he is at the age where he is trying to become an adult. Red, one of his colors, starts to enter the image color. Rather than bring forth a completely different character, I designed this by getting all the good parts of him like his sternness and his naughtiness. I came here with the idea that DMC just isn't DMC if it's not like this.
Image 2:
Top: Dante is powerful, so you don't know what type of character he becomes when he faces off with someone—so at first, it's his mysterious image, which makes you feel the possibilities. I personally like this image.
Bottom: In the beginning stages, I had set the initial focus color to a black monotone, which gives the colors a cold feeling to them. In future platforms, such as the present, showing the black beautifully was difficult, so I had the intention of tackling the challenge of showing the black beautifully.
Image 3:
NERO in Devil Trigger
Majin (魔人) Nero
This is the state of the release of Nero's right arm's true power.
You can see the bluish-white appearance between Nero.
Whether this majin appeared from Nero's power or it an existence of a different species is not certain.
Image 4:
There was the thought that majin in the future would transform and you wouldn't know what type of appearance they would take on. As a foundation to the concept, my thoughts are making make him more detailed and increasing the impression he leaves as a character. I wanted to incorporate its appeal as a modeled object, one where I would be satisfied if he was made into a figurine. Nero's majin is still incomplete compared to Dante's, so as I am polishing it, I want the possibilities to be felt. The hood covers one eye as one form of expression. TranquilHope (talk) 00:26, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Nice, but the first two images were about Dante rather than Nero?Tintor2 (talk) 00:39, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
That's what it seems like. TranquilHope (talk) 00:41, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for so many DMC requests but I found something about Dante's Japanese actor here. Does it say something about his casting and impressions?Tintor2 (talk) 01:16, 5 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Tell me about the character you play.
I play the main character Dante. Dante as a devil hunter is very brave and makes quick work of hunting demons, but his lifestyle is normally very rough. He also doesn't earn much. I think that's kind of where his appeal comes from.
What do you think the appeal of the anime version of Dante is?
I guess coming from a female's perspective, the bad guys would be better, haha. Certainly, even coming from me, he eats the same things every day, so he's no good. He's only good when he works and bad at everything else. But, it might be better if we keep it like this because who would want to see Dante fold his clothes? TranquilHope (talk) 08:04, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks as usual.Tintor2 (talk) 16:40, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Have one here. By any chance in this article from Famitsu does Fumiko Orikasa talk about her character Lady?Tintor2 (talk) 00:50, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I feel like I took on the role of "challenge." I think her appeal comes from her cool fighting appearance. There was a woman fight in episode 4 and I thought it was very interesting. TranquilHope (talk) 01:06, 29 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 16:21, 29 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Found this sketch of K'. Do the few Japanese words say something about his design was touched?Tintor2 (talk) 21:55, 2 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
It talks about colors, but it doesn't talk about how they went about the design.

Any chance there is something about Atsuko Tanaka and Trish here?Tintor2 (talk) 23:12, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

The action in the games is surely amazing and I think that is the charm of the game. On the anime side, with Dante, there's the battles between Trish and Lady, wondering they're going to involve themselves with Dante, and their subtle relationship.
Warning Dante with comments like "Don't just eat pizza," these motherly instincts kick in and I think Trish wants to support him in that sense.TranquilHope (talk) 23:20, 10 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
By any chance does this say anything about Date Masamune's concept?Tintor2 (talk) 22:25, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
There's nothing much in that picture. TranquilHope (talk) 03:43, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
How about this one? Thanks as usual.Tintor2 (talk) 02:14, 31 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
This is K''s normal costume that has uniform levels of a hard image throughout. Whether it's his "color E" with its overflowing roughness that is evocative of a wild dog or his "color G" that emphasizes himself as a motorcyclist, this is a design that has succeeded in magnifying his image on many levels regardless of the variation. With him exposing his upper-half with his "another color" and having characteristics such as sunglasses on him, a wild image of him is portrayed.TranquilHope (talk) 03:48, 31 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Found another one. Could you translate the Japanese text in the bottom?Tintor2 (talk) 00:48, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
As the person who could be called the heroine of the NESTS Compilation, she now appears in this series. Her normal base style is ライダ一ス一ツ (I'm not sure what this is. It sounds like "rider suit") + chaps, her Color E is ash crimson styled, and her G~H demonstrates playfulness with it being the color of her partner Candy's style. The atmosphere of Another is different and it shows coquettish appeal all the way.TranquilHope (talk) 11:34, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Fate articles

edit

I tried expanding a bit of Shirou Emiya's reception section but I'm not that familiar with his appearances (only watched Zero and UBW). Maybe something from here will help you expand his creation. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:44, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey, it's been a while. It's cool to see you working on a Fate related article! Sorry for not responding lately. I've been meaning to expand that section, but I've been busy this quarter. I do have that artbook on my computer. When I'm free in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to translate again if you still need it. TranquilHope (talk) 08:55, 27 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
I managed to expand the production of Fate/Zero thanks to a fan translation of the authors' notes from the novel but I couldn't find anything else about the making of that novel. Shirou and Saber might have more potential of having creation information based on stuff I find in the wikia. I am not an expert but I think Rin could also have her own article based on the reception information I have seen.Tintor2 (talk) 16:12, 27 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
The wikia does seem to offer a lot of creation section like in in this example. However, I don't know if any of the three artbooks from Animextremist has information for the Shirou, Saber and Rin.Tintor2 (talk) 21:49, 28 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
I read the original fate visual novel in Japanese plus the anime adaptations, but I only watched the Fate/Zero anime. Yeah, Rin for sure could have her own article. I have a bunch of official fate material on my computer, so I can search through them for article-worthy information.

Created Rin Tohsaka. It still needs a expansion though.Tintor2 (talk) 15:08, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

By the way, I'm not sure about what images should be used in the infoboxes. I mean all animes are basically updated versions of the visual novel so they are fitting. If so, feel free to replace them.Tintor2 (talk) 17:48, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
I think I added almost everything I can to Shirou's article. Also tried expanding Saber's and Rin's but I am more into expanding the others upon finishing the first one similar to what I did to the D.Gray-man characters. I guess Illya could also get her own article based on how many seasons her spin-off had, but I'm not familiar with any of them. Also, Shirou's article seems to cover most of his voice actors but very little though. Happy Holidays.Tintor2 (talk) 23:36, 26 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
If Shirou's article is missing something is probably more commentary from Sugiyama. Saber's article has a lot about her actress but all of my searches for Sugiyama resulted in almost nothing.Tintor2 (talk) 23:51, 27 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Nice! The article looks a lot better. I gave the article a read and fixed some grammar mistakes and some weird wording, but it can still be improved. Some information could be removed and I might be able to find more information from official fate material I have on my desktop, but it's in a different city right now. I'll see if I can find commentary from Sugiyama after my anime session. I've been catching up with anime. :) Happy holidays to you too! TranquilHope (talk) 07:53, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
No prob. I'll request a copyedit too once the Iori Yagami article is fixed too.Tintor2 (talk) 15:26, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
I don't know what could be removed but the Heaven's Feel seems to be lacking content as it doesn't say anything about Shirou's actions after getting the arm. The content from a University is definitely noteworthy as it is quite a notorious source. By the way, I already requested a copyedit a guild. Maybe reception regarding to his character from Under the Snow movie is lacking but I think the film has never been licensed so there is no reception to it.Tintor2 (talk) 16:09, 29 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
BTW, found some concept art about Shirou transforming into an Archer-like warrior here. From chapter 48. Might be useful.Tintor2 (talk) 00:03, 30 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, academic articles on anime/visual novels are very rare. TranquilHope (talk) 03:55, 1 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
There is something I'm confused about the light novels from Zero. I can't find the release date of any novel or ISBN making some sources incomplete. Maybe you understand better than me. Also, did that scan from Shirou have anything important about his design? Lastly, feel free if you want to change an image. I've just realized Shirou also has another form in Grand Order which would make his Archer card form image more questionable since there is no making of it yet.Tintor2 (talk) 14:14, 2 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
All the release dates are on the Fate/Zero page, but I'm having trouble finding a source too. In a book I have, it has the dates for first and last one but not the other two. I'll be reunited with my desktop over the weekend, so I'll see if I have any better sources there. Hiroyama Hiroshi is saying that it's surreal how two half-naked guys would fight in a snowy landscape and that drawing guys' skin is hard. The part drawing guys' skin sounds good, but he doesn't go into detail. Where did you find this scan btw? Is that Archer card image from the manga? TranquilHope (talk) 02:26, 4 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
The Archer card image is from a manga that was adapted into Oath Under Snow but I found the image on the wikia. The manga scan is from manga dex. I guess we'll have to remove it unless further commentary is presented. Still, it might be better than Shirou's Muramasa persona considering that version did not even became playable in Grand Order.Tintor2 (talk) 15:54, 4 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Forgot to tell you but I added two Sugiyama interviews but I barely added content as I just used Google Translate. Maybe you could expand on them.Tintor2 (talk) 20:10, 4 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Another update about the cast that might help to expand some article here. The whole special stuff seems interesting but I don't understand it.Tintor2 (talk) 23:25, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shirou's article is being copyedited. The copyeditor is wondering whether the Urobuchi/Nasu commentary is needed so maybe you have an idea about it. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 16:08, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

That was one of parts I thought could be removed. TranquilHope (talk) 23:06, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sugiyama talks about the scene that was most memorable to him in the first HF movie, which was when Shirou and Sakura talked together in the shed. He also talks about how cool it is that fate characters appear in a variety of genres (cooking, mahou shoujo, etc).
I see. Let's add that when the copyedit is done. I stopped nominating articles to GA, but if in the process you think it's possible, lets do it.Tintor2 (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Cool. I was just about to add it. Did you ever find the Fate/zero release dates? TranquilHope (talk) 23:44, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sadly not. Still, there is some text in creation that lacks a citation but I have no idea where is that from. The copyeditor took a break for tonight so be bold if you want to add something about Sugiyama or something I might have missed. I still think the Heaven's Feel route needs few references but I don't know which days are those. I tried in the wikia but it made no mention of that.Tintor2 (talk) 01:54, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Just found this here. Nasu talks about some changes to Shirou's original characterization. Do you have a reddit account? It would be good to ask for the original source but I can't have access to mine right now.Tintor2 (talk) 03:59, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind, somebody from the wikiproject for video games found the original thanks to Google.Tintor2 (talk) 16:19, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
The copyedit finished. Feel free to add anything. BTW, I've just found this Cdjapan link of the first light novel? It says it was released in 2011 which confuses me considering the anime premiered around that time.Tintor2 (talk) 19:54, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think 2011 might refer to when it was released on that site. TranquilHope (talk) 00:58, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Another interview with Sugiyama.Tintor2 (talk) 19:30, 31 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Got an update about the light novels. The original novels were released in four volumes but their ISBNs remain unknown as everything in Amazon and other sites are recollections. By the way, did you check Sugiyama's interview? I also found this one which appears to focus on Unlimited Blade Works.Tintor2 (talk) 01:27, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shirou Emiya

edit

How are you doing? A user named Aoba will be reviewing the article Shirou Emiya. Feel free to check anything.Tintor2 (talk) 22:26, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Good! I've been a bit busy lately. I'll check out the article. Is there any information from Japanese sources that's still needed? TranquilHope (talk) 07:48, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am wondering if we should include how Nasu came up with the name Emiya because it's a bit convoluted. Gilgamesh's original class was "(gate)keeper" and 衛宮 (Emiya), which can be the keeper that protects (衛) the palace (宮), is supposed to be reminiscent of Gilgamesh so that they could draw up suspense to suggest that Shirou is actually Gilgamesh. On second thought, this is too convoluted and Nasu didn't really clarify much, so we shouldn't add this, but I'll leave it here as a fun piece of trivia.
Out of curiosity, how often do you edit the Spanish Wikipedia lol TranquilHope (talk) 10:14, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I directly decided to start on in English Wikipedia when I was a teenager because at that age I was studying that language. Sadly, I don't study English so much as I my current job doesn't involve that and in my free time I either work out or simply draw (I did try drawing Shirou and Saber sometimes). I recommend you meeting User talk:Dantiras who helped me create Sakura's article.Tintor2 (talk) 15:37, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think there is enough real world information but the paragraph about Illya's spinoff in development could be expanded since that is only one page of the entire article. It's all in Japanese though. Maybe an early sketch from Shirou's creation might be suitable seeing how the Russian wikipedia has Nasu's sketches of both Kiritsugu and Saber. Also, since you are more skilled than me, maybe you could check some typos.Tintor2 (talk) 15:47, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
