Please note that this film has NOT been announced by Marvel, and all information is still considered rumors. In addition, the Johnny Depp information traces back to Latino-Review, which is not a reliable source. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:54, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Johnny Depp filmography

edit

There was no reason to revert my edit removing studio as studios are not a necessary column to have in an actor filmography. Per WP:FILMOGRAPHY, the only columns that are required are Year, Title, Role, and Notes. Adding a studio column will just clutter the table and add information that isn't about HIS filmography. LADY LOTUSTALK 18:46, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Other users have been on that page and kept it how I left it and had no problem about the edit Lady Lotus. -- TreCoolGuy talk 20 January 2014
Just because noone has objected to it doesn't mean it should stay. It clutters the table and has nothing to do with his films. The studio should be on the films article page not the actors. LADY LOTUSTALK 19:14, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
But there is enough room for the studios to be put in there Lady. TreCoolGuy talk 20 January 2014
Just because there is enough room for it STILL doesn't mean it belongs there. Again, look at WP:FILMOGRAPHY for reference. And you are now in violation of WP:3RR for continuing to revert the edit and not take it to the talk page like I told you to. WP:EDITWARRING can cause you to be blocked. LADY LOTUSTALK 19:45, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
I can easily put a WP:EDITWARRING on you just because you have a problem with it doesn't mean everyone else does. So please for the last and final time Do not redirect my edits on Johnny Depp. Thanks -- TreCoolGuy talk 20 January 2014
And you need to understand that sometimes your edits are going to be reverted. You can't keep reverting them just because you don't agree with the editor doing it. I had a reasonable excuse and all your arguments were were just "nobody else has a problem with it" and nothing of note. I referenced MoS and you referenced your opinion, take it to the talk page instead. LADY LOTUSTALK 19:57, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I was going to post this in a separate heading as a friendly knowledge update regarding the Iron Man trilogy page you are working on, but it will apply to this too. Tre, just because other stuff exists (ie "in film pages" or in this case, a studio column) doesn't mean that it is necessarily correct, or more should follow their example. So in this case, Lady Lotus is correct in saying there is no purpose for the studio column in a filmography table. Additionally, as I noted to you on TriiipleThreat's talk page, an Iron Man trilogy page is essentially the same page that is being discussed to merge back, and would not really serve a purpose itself, when the Marvel Cinematic Universe page and the individual pages are done so well. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:27, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Explain

edit

Care to explain this and this? Rusted AutoParts 00:32, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

First of all I can explain the first one, you humiliated me infront of everyone on Wiki by calling me a Sock puppet and showing that I was suspended for a period of time. I just wanted you to know how that feels. - TreCoolGuy
Just because RAP did it to you does not mean you should do it to them. Conversely, RAP should have shown civility in the first place and this wouldn't have happened. gsk 07:31, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Tre, you may feel "humiliated", but you were proven positive as a sock puppet and blocked for it. It was in accordance with policy that your user page was replaced with a sock puppet template (considering it was originally User:DrummerSP reported as the puppeteer.) And you'veretty much confirmed you a sock puppet here as you've answered for the action taken by an IP that I linked up above. And I highly doubt two individuals would go out of their way to taunt me a out being blocked. I'm seriously considering opening another investigation. Rusted AutoParts 13:46, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
What's the point Rusted? You want to know why I did those two thing well here I'll tell you. You made my life on Wiki a living hell, you always delete or redo my articles for some stupid reason if its "oh you have to look at the talk page" and when I go there for SOME articles it's not there. When I put reliable sources confirming that it is true, I don't know if you hate me or like to piss me off but you redo them. Then you called me a sock puppeteer THREE god damn times. The first one I admit that I did deserve being suspended but you didn't have to publicity humiliate me calling me a sockpuppeter, showing everyone on Wikipedia that hey he got suspended for three months. Then you blamed me for other sockpuppets and don't give me that crap you that, "Well you were a sockpuppeter" first of all I do you think that if I was caught again I would probually have six months or a year suspension. I learned my listen do you think I want that? And third check my IP address and the other people who you claim to being a sockpuppet and check their sockpuppet addresses and see, "Hmmm... This guy isn't a sockpuppet of this other guy maybe we should leave him alone and maybe he won't be so mad at you." And honestly you really think that you can do any of that and point false accusations on other wikipedians? No because you were suspended too! You were just suspended because you did something you wanted to do and you acted like a little five year old and got suspended. You even cursed at another wikipedian not one like three times. You don't deserve your position in Wiki while Favre1fan93 or TriiipleThreat or even User:GSK because they actually deserve it and you don't because you abuse you power. And by the way after reading my rant you didn't even say sorry for accusing me of being a sockpuppet the second and third time. You said sorry to everyone else except me you really have a lot of nerve dude. Like I said you don't deserve it. - TreCoolGuy
Clarification: TPS means that I'm a talk page stalker because I often watch user talk pages and may choose to inject constructive commentary in some cases. It wasn't a jab at you, which you would have realized if you had read the accompanying article. gsk 17:39, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh sorry about that User:GSK I thought you were calling me a stalker I would like to really apologize about that not up with the wiki language. I am sorry again about my actions. - User:TreCoolGuy

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Proposed deletion of FOX Animated Universe

edit

The article FOX Animated Universe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Looks like a made-up term. Zero sources available when googling. Article is original research at best.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:Http,--anjake04.deviantart.com-art-Cigarettes-and-Valentines-165615913.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Http,--anjake04.deviantart.com-art-Cigarettes-and-Valentines-165615913.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. gsk 19:04, 9 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

True, and I'm one of the last people to propose TCG's unblocking, but while the 2 Chainz edit was unnecessary, the Fast and Furious 7 edit seems to be, at most, original research. I still think it's overkill to jump from a three day block to an indefinite block in a time period of less than two months. Just my two cents. gsk 04:15, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TreCoolGuy, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

First you stay out of this, and second you can't admit that you were wrong and I was right. Your ego is too big to admit you were wrong and it has been confirmed before about Spiderman in February. Hell I was right about the whole Mandarin Ben Kingsley Iron Man 3 thing and you said I was wrong and I was right. So yeah "enjoy your block" coming from the guy who has the biggest ego that will make Kayne West blush doesn't mean anything. - TreCoolGuy
Tre, I have tried to help you but you refuse accept Wikipedia policy and guidelines especially when it comes to verifying information and identifying reliable sources. I don't recall any discussion about the Mandarin. I'll admit the "enjoy your block" comment was a bit childish, but I really do hope you take this time to famarilize yourself with the aforementioned policies and guidelines so if one day your indefinite block is lifted, then you'll be a better editor because of it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:07, 14 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Batman v Superman logo.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Batman v Superman logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
