Can you help delete an article?

I've kind of stumbled upon History of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship and noticed that it was extremely and unnecessarily lengthy and did not have citations for most of the information, and most of the bad stuff was done by a single anonymous editor. I checked the editing history, and I saw that you had previously edited to make it sound less promotional. I dove into the deletion process some more and figured that this article meets the criteria, and might be fine for a proposed deletion. I think we have the same goal in making this article better and fit for an encyclopedia, but I think deletion would be better, since the history of this event is also mentioned on All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. Anyway, I'm sort of new to editing and unsure about deleting this article, so if you would like to follow through on this and work together, I would absolutely love to, so follow up on my talk page.
