Thanks for intervening in the revert war. I'm glad you posted that message there, as it can now be used as a reference in case the IPs return. Today wasn't the first time I had to revert the edits of those IPs; despite the warnings from multiple users (including admins), they still continue to add those links anyway. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Pineview, North Carolina, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Pineview, North Carolina fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Pineview, North Carolina, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Pineview, North Carolina itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:02, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks,

An important letter
editDear roads editor,
You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.
This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.
After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.
The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.
In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.
For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.
In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.
All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.
In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.

Wikimania in Atlanta!
editHi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:44, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Neutrality and POV editing
editI saw on your page that you like to edit articles for neutrality and POV. You might find some of the outlandish information on the MKDELTA and MKULTRA articles to need a firm editorial pen. I'm relatively new here and don't feel comfortable wading into what would appear to be a highly controversial topic. VirginiaProp 17:46, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

USRD Inactivity check and news report
editHello, Triadian. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:
- Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
- There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

Image copyright problem with Image:Boothamphitheatre.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Boothamphitheatre.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:

Category:Cemeteries
editI saw your contributions to Template:Developments and thought I'd post here. Cemeteries are an area of land set aside to engage in a death custom. Category:Cemeteries is a subcategory of Category:Death customs. However, it should also be categorized regarding the "area of land" portion. I think cemeteries fall under Category:Human geography, but I am unable to narrow it down any further. Cemeteries are not limited to Category:Urban geography. Category:Political geography doesn't seem to fit since cemeteries are more commercial in nature (somewhat like golf courses but with significant government regulation). Category:Cultural geography doesn't seem to fit since cultural geography doesn't have finite geographic boundaries. It could be Category:Economic geography or Category:Land use, but when you look at the subcategories, the "area of land set aside to engage in a death custom" doesnt seem to fit well. Following Category:Land use, you get to land management. Template:Developments seems to break things down further, but I'm still having a hard time pinning down where cemeteries fit in the scheme of land set aside. Any suggestions? How does Metropolitan Borough of Solihull categorize cemeteries? Bebestbe (talk) 17:40, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Cape_hatteras_lighthouse_cropped.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Cape_hatteras_lighthouse_cropped.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:00, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Scenic route
editI have nominated Scenic route, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scenic route. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 07:47, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
