Trikonic
editHello, if you want to put copyrighted text and images on Wikipedia you have to re-release them under a free license (GFDL for the text, GFDL, public domain, {{CopyrightedFreeUse}} or others for the images). You also have to prove you have permission from the original copyright holder. Please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission. You have to send an e-mail to the original authors, forward the response to the Wikimedia PR department, and post it at Talk:Trikonic, together with the {{confirmation}} template. Then I will undelete the article. If you need help, you can contact me on my talk page. Thank you. Mushroom (Talk) 12:30, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Trikonic, you have to send an e-mail to "
permissions at wikimedia dot org
". It should contain:- the request for permission you sent to the author (something like this).
- the author's response.
- Ignore what I said about Talk:Trikonic, I will do what is necessary. Mushroom (Talk) 23:08, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- There seems to be a small problem here: the text carries a Springer-Verlag copyright. Which would imply that the author transferred his copyright to this publisher. As far as I understand the their copyright transfer form, they don't allow publication on wikipedia. However, I'm not completely sure, so it might be best to check with Springer's legal department. -- Koffieyahoo 09:20, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I have sent an e-mail to Springer-Verlag today. You don't need to do anything else: if Springer-Verlag confirms that the author's permission is enough then I will undelete the article. Thank you. Mushroom (Talk) 17:44, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
