editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from GRB 080916C, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Thanks. I hope you continue to contribute to Wikipedia! Cssiitcic (talk) 17:02, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- The above speedy deletion nomination was a blatant mistake. Any quick Google search would have revealed the topic to be notable. Per WP:IAR removal of the faulty nomination was appropriate. The article clearly was not vandalism, as the speedy template suggested. Jehochman Talk 18:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Bourns, Inc.
editA tag has been placed on Bourns, Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Macromonkey: Before you delete something, please Google it first. I'm referring to an article I was trying to create today ("Bourns, Inc.", which has 227,000 hits in Google and is a major name in electronics components). Tripodian (talk) 21:54, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Hey, I merely proposed deletion because of the nature of the article, as it read in such a way to suggest advertising. If more sources were provided and the article was written to be better suited to an encyclopedia, I am sure you could create a great article. thanks, Macromonkey (talk) 22:09, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Every electrical/electronics engineer or technician - in fact anyone who has tinkered with a PC board - knows what a Bourns trimpot is. I hope you've seen one since (you say) you are a computer student. Also, what is the minimum number of "sources" that you require for approval, Sir? And what style of writing would you consider "encyclopedic"? You made a mistake. Admit it. Tripodian (talk) 22:15, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

The article Jacques Roy (physician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Typical case of WP:BLP1E. In addition, there are BLP issues: at this point, Roy is only charged but has not been convicted.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Guillaume2303 (talk) 20:31, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
