Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date).   Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "TheTrufIsOutThere", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it suggests POV/conspiracy tinged editing.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. power~enwiki (π, ν) 21:57, 28 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

August 2019

edit

Your recent editing history at Lorena González shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. @SounderBruce:No edit war, I actually commented directly on the talk page for Wallyfromdilbert, again my mistake, I replaced all the Linkedin and Facebook citations when I restored it back. The only citation that was social media related after my last reversion was one that was on their before I changed anything tonight (which we can gladly get rid of because there's a second citation for the same thing). Would it be kosher to restore since aside from that one, nothing is cited from social media on the 05:36, 8 August 2019‎ version. User:TrufForEveryoneUser talk:TrufForEveryone

A few tips for biographies

edit

Please be sure to include proper categories and talk page templates when creating new articles, especially about living people. It helps us track down pages before they become magnets for vandalism. It would also be helpful if you stuck to using the normal American date format (MDY) in citations and date fields. Finally, you should consider double-checking what the citation generator produces and fix the errors by hand (e.g. website names, newspaper publishers, and typos).   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. SounderBruce 06:22, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nate Nehring

edit

The article Nate Nehring has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NPOL - politician who holds local office and with only local coverage

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Response: I really, really hope not. He is the former chair of the Snohomish County council and every other member of the council has there own page. It seems partisan to target his.
