Falu Frigymnasium Model United Nations

Falu Frigymnasium is a school located in a small town called Falun in Sweden, The school host's an annual Model United Nations in the town of Falun. This event gathers students from as far as Namibia and the UK.

Falu Frigymnasium is the school that hosts the Model United nations every year in Falun. The schhol itself is situated in Falun and it is a high school. The school has exchange programes with schools from different countries like the Otjikoto Senior Secondary School in Tsumeb, Namibia.

Foreign Students

Students from countries like Namibia, France and the UK travel to by invitation Falun during the month of March just to take part in this prestigious event. It is seen as a school exchange programe for certain schools as it acts as a platform for this school to interact with students from different countries and cultures. Students from other schools around Sweden aslo do take part in the Model United Nations.[1]

Model United Nations

150 to 200 participants take part every year in this event around March consisting of students from Sweden and European and African countries. Preparations are done during the period of January to March and the participants are split into different committees to represent the various countries of the United nations General assembly. The different committees are as follows: Economic and Social, Safety and Security, Health and Human Rights.

A guide is available for all required information and preparations for the role play.[2]
