Hello and welcome etc...

I came here hoping to save time and ask you about British Rail Class 22 - specifically about availability being 90% - I'm not questioning the accuracy - but would like to know where the figure comes from - if there is a book or whatever that this is duplicated in etc.

Not 100% sure if I'm doing this right, I couldn't see a reply button. Anyway, that information came from the Railway World Annual that had a good article about NBL type 2s Actually the availability was averaging 85%, not 90%, but because one of the locos had been laid up for several years with no plan to fix it, it works out approx 90%. Please stop being an idiot and editing entries for railway lines that are open as closed. Your argument that there are no time tabled passenger trains apart from being ludicrous, is also completely wrong. The Derby Birmingham line passing through Barton and Walton closed station DOES have a regular daily timetable, Wychnor Junction to Lichfield has two timetabled passenger trains a week, Saturday 1E68 1845 Reading to York, passing Alrewas at 2107, also 1M76 1950 Durham to Birmingham New Street, passing 2211 and Sunday 1V48 0810 Leeds to Exeter St Davids, passing Alrewas at 0947. Lichfield Trent Valley high level platform 3 is both open and has a timetabled passenger service to Birmingham.
