Turnpenny
July 2010
edit Teapotgeorge: I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I am new to Wikipedia editing and will go back to the sandbox for more experimenting. WikipediaAdministrator:Turnpenny (talk) 11:01, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Turnpenny, please stop claiming to be an administrator. It is misleading, and is likely to be confusing to other brand-new editors. katherine_a (talk) 11:09, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
katherine_a: I am an administrator, and am in the Wikipedia List of Administrators which can be verified using the admin verification link on my homepage. - No, you're not. As that user search link confirms. katherine_a (talk) 11:19, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
katherine_a: yes, i am, take a look at this then )http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Wikipedia_administrators&from=T) WikipediaAdministrator:Turnpenny (talk) 11:24, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- That category shows that you have placed the administrator userbox on your User page. Nothing more. Again, please stop claiming to be an administrator. I've noticed that you've not yet received a welcome message since registering your account a couple of hours ago, so I'll post one for you below. It contains links to a great deal of useful information for new editors, which I'm sure you will find helpful. katherine_a (talk) 11:47, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Disruptive editing and false claims
editI have removed your false claims to be an administrator and a bureaucrat from your user page. I see you have also claimed elsewhere to be an administrator. Please do not continue to make false claims, or make any other sort of disruptive editing, or you will be blocked from editing. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:14, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
New Page Patrol survey
edit
New page patrol – Survey Invitation Hello Turnpenny! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.
Please click HERE to take part. You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey. Global message delivery 13:42, 26 October 2011 (UTC) |
March 2012
editThe recent edit you made to The Designer has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see here for what to do. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:14, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Almost all of your editing has been disruptive in one way or another, from falsely claiming to be an administrator to outright vandalism. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:19, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
New deal for page patrollers
editHi Turnpenny,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
