Warning regarding your edit to The Wind That Shakes the Barley (film)
editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 02:36, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Regarding your message.
editFirst of all, I do not appreciate the tone of the message you left on my talk page. Whether you agree with me or not, your edits were a violation of 3RR and you were edit-warring. I brought the matter to the attention of an administrator, and he chose to protect the page. I had no idea that he would choose to do so so precipitously, but that was his choice, based on his knowledge and experience as an administrator. I do not second guess him on it. If you read the message I left, you will see that I was asking him for advice on how best to approach the matter. He suggested page protection. I did not "stoop" to anything, and page protection is not an underhanded tactic. I suggest you assume good faith in future. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 16:26, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

editHi, the recent edit you made to Attica Prison riots has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
