Drafting a Wikipedia Article for Tamimah Digital (Oman)
editHello! I’m preparing to draft a Wikipedia article for Tamimah Digital, a digital solutions company based in Muscat, Oman. The company offers a range of services, including: Digital Services: Web and app development, digital marketing, SEO, UI/UX design, and bulk SMS solutions. Cybersecurity: Penetration testing and security reporting to protect against cyber threats. Branding and Media: Office branding, signage solutions, and media services like video production and photography. Technology Products: Supplies and solutions for IT, networking, biometric systems, and conference room technology. In Oman, Tamimah Digital is recognized for its comprehensive solutions in technology, media, and branding, serving both corporate and consumer clients. I’m keen to approach this draft in line with Wikipedia’s neutrality and notability guidelines and am seeking feedback to ensure the article aligns with community standards. Thanks in advance for any guidance! UPPuuPPa (talk) 08:59, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Firstly, to have an article, your company needs to be notable. We have a guide as to what makes an organisation notable here. The main requirement is that multiple reputable sources unconnected to your company must have said plenty about it.
- Also, I strongly advise that you do not make an article about your company. It is best to wait for someone unconnected to the company to make it. Then, you can suggest changes via the talk page. If you really want to make the article, I would suggest that you use the Articles for Creation process so that others can check that it follows the content policies before it's shown to readers. Hope this helps. QwertyForest (talk) 11:08, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank @QwertyForest for the warm welcome and the helpful advice! I appreciate the guidance on ensuring the notability of an organization before creating an article. I understand the importance of following Wikipedia's content policies.
- Just to mention, Tamimah Digital LLC has recently signed an agreement with Ooredoo to launch a B2B online marketplace, which may be relevant when considering the company’s notability.[1]https://www.ooredoo.om/en/press-release/ooredoo-signs-agreement-with-tamimah-digital-llc-to-launch-a-b2b-online-marketplace/ UPPuuPPa (talk) 11:23, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- @UPPuuPPa Unfortunately, I don't think that source will help demonstrate notability. Because your company has established a financial connection with the company who wrote that source, it is likely that the writings are connected with your company. It might help to look up your company on search engines and try looking at Google books to see if anyone who has nothing to do with the company has said much about it. For more information, our guide to notability might help. Best regards, QwertyForest (talk) 08:10, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

- The link that you provided is simply an ad for the organisation making the posts. Can you find any links that talk in depth about your company? QwertyForest (talk) 06:49, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
