Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, UP at G+J. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Julia Jäkel , you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. jcc (tea and biscuits) 21:36, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- Essentially if you have a conflict of interest with Julia i.e. working for them, being paid to write the article let us know now to avoid problems down the line. If not, no worries, treat the above as a standard notice. Best wishes, jcc (tea and biscuits) 21:36, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Julia Jäkel
editHello UP at G+J,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Julia Jäkel for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

edit As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:UP at G+J, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=UP at G+J|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. jcc (tea and biscuits) 00:01, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Note to fully comply you still need to specify which article on your user page, and on the talk page of the article itself (not the actual article page). jcc (tea and biscuits) 00:02, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
