warning vandals
editHello Ultraviolet scissor flame.
I noticed that you revert quite a bit of vandalism. Thank you for helping keep Wikipedia the best encyclopedia in the world!
However, I have noticed that you do not always leave warnings on the vandals talk pages. You should always leave an appropriate warning after reverting vandalism. (The full list of talk page warnings may be found here, along with some suggestions and guidelines for using them.)
Be sure to leave the correct level of warning, and if the vandal has been warned four times in the last month, (Check the vandal's talk page history. Some vandals remove warnings from their talk pages.) report the vandal by going to this page and following the instructions.
Thank you again, and may the vandals fail... J.delanoygabsadds 21:21, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:AVTAK-Bond in mine.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:AVTAK-Bond in mine.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 12:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
GoldenEye
editIt just so happens that I have a massive James Bond book with tons of info on GoldenEye. I'm a bit busy lately with college, but I'll do what I can: I'm confident that by including/citing it, our collective contributions will get this to FA status. Image copyright problem with Image:AVTAKZorin-and-MayDay.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:AVTAKZorin-and-MayDay.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:

Bond book images
editI was mostly referring to just the Octopussy and The Living Daylights which is a unique situation, because not only did you have different editions with different contents, but there was also a title change involved. Given some editors desire that every statement be referenced, I figure it's only a matter of time before someone demands a source to prove that the book title was shortened, so illustrating the 1967 Pan paperback would also serve that purpose. As for the other articles, the images can come and go. 23skidoo (talk) 17:55, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Bond characters template
editWhat on earth is going on with it??? Its way too cluttered and confusing now. It really was better originally ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:11, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I haven;t a problem with balancing it out between films and novels in coverage but it is a navigation template only - it should be kept simple. The way you organized it was as if to show that some of the titles aren't films and are novels only. It is FAR better to just have the titles e.g henchmen by novel/film rather than sub sections in each which is confusing to the reader. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:23, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree with you that there is extreme bias towards the films rather than the novels on here but a simplified template which lists characters by novel and film (many many of them overlap anyway) is far better than all sorts of sub ordering with sections in a template. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:27, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

GoldenEye
editWhy do you oppose my proposed move? I'm just making this article consistent with the earlier films. There are several things called GoldenEye. The war operation, Fleming's house, the novelization, two video games, etc. Why should the film's article get the unique title GoldenEye? Emperor001 (talk) 23:47, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's why I posted the question on the talk page. Besides, every move I proposed for James Bond novels and films is never answered. You're the first. Because people frequently ignored my comments on the talk pages. I moved Tomorrow Never Dies to Tomorrow Never Dies (film) without a comment on the talk page. All other novel and film articles that I moved, a proposal was posted on the talk page and no one responded. All of Fleming's novels are at Name of novel (novel) and all of the films named after novels are at Name of film (film). Because there are also soundtracks, short stories, novelizations, and sometimes video games for all other films, they should be at Name of film (film). Emperor001 (talk) 17:54, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- But I do think that all James Bond films should be consistent and that when there are more than one article with the same title, they should each have some kind of indicator. For example, there are several things called Casino Royale (the book, Climax episode, 2 films, comic strip, soundtrack, etc.), so Casino Royale is the disambiguation page and all other articles have an indicator such as Casino Royale (novel). This is a pattern that should be followed. If we don't follow it, how do we decide which article doesn't have a connotation? Emperor001 (talk) 17:14, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:James bond 007 Game Boy box.gif
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:James bond 007 Game Boy box.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 21:46, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Gladys Knight and Ron Winan's Chicken & Waffles in Atlanta.jpg
editA tag has been placed on Image:Gladys Knight and Ron Winan's Chicken & Waffles in Atlanta.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Gladys Knight and Ron Winan's Chicken & Waffles in Atlanta.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Polly (Parrot) 21:51, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

In & Out Burger
editI placed the trivia tag on the Popularity section because it has references to movies and individuals that really have no association to the article. The famous chefs that like the place is decided trivia unless it pertains to the article in some way, have they have somehow contributed to the company? If not, that is extraneous, indiscriminate and un-selective a.k.a. trivia. The only reason Rick Bayless is mentioned in the BK article is because he did a commercial for them. I used to work for a Burger King Franchise that had Roger Clemens as a regular customer who came in before games that he pitched in (2 Original Chicken Sandwiches with cheese, large french fries and a large Mountain Dew), yet that is not in the BK article.
Furthermore most of the data found in the section have no citations of fact. So why is the {{trivia}} tag inappropriate?
Trivia sections
editPlease consider integrating trivial facts into the body of the article, rather than just making new, lower-case headings for them in exactly the same place that the "trivia" section used to be. If you don't have the time to integrate trivia properly, you should leave the trivia sections for other editors to clean up properly. --McGeddon (talk) 15:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey there, Ultra. I've checked through the three flaws I found listed on the FPOC page and have listed some suggestions which may not be of much use. The layout of the portal is fine in Monobook view, and I've found another CC-licensed image of Sean Connery back in 1980. As for that voodoo thing...I have no idea as to why that should be of any concern. I hope that helps. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 01:35, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
