at Lincoln Memorial, but want to mention that it is right on the border of being an opinion and if you had a reference for it, this would be a great time to add it. The Memorial is subject to all sorts of marginal edits and if you want yours to stay a citation would be the way to be sure that it does. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:53, 4 October 2011 (UTC). PS if you put something, anything on your user page the your name will appear in blue rather than as a red link and I think that this is a good thing.
- Thanks for the citation - My issue was not with the fasces - I have seen them many times and have even discovered other fasces on the building - on the sides of the main staircase. I have made a bit of a study of fasces in American architecture, have contributed a few things to the fasces article... and more. My issue was really that I wanted your comment to stay and the best way to insure that was to get it referenced. My next thing is to change one of the "subtle"s that I found in two adjacent sentences there. English has lots of words, no reason to repeat ourselves. So if you do see an edit there (I assume that you have that page "watched"), it could well be me making that . . ...... subtle change. Carptrash (talk) 21:39, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
