Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Regency government, 1422–1437, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Philip Morgan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

List of Earls in the reign of Henry I of England moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, List of Earls in the reign of Henry I of England, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I guess tell Boleyn what you told me, that it's just a list of earls with articles, so sources shouldn't be necessary. Trivialist (talk) 01:11, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of List of earls in the reign of Richard III of England

edit

A tag has been placed on List of earls in the reign of Richard III of England requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. @Unst50: I moved this back to draft, because it is unsourced. It seems to have been deleted and recreated three times. If you move it back to mainspace without address the concerns around source, I plan to take you up to the Administration noticeboard. I don't think your here to build an encyclopedia, WP:NOTHERE. scope_creepTalk 20:43, 2 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have restored it per your request at RfU. @Scope creep: I don't think this is a case for WP:AN. Unst50 moved the draft to mainspace 3 times - March, April and October of 2021. If you had an issue with the article you could have taken it to AfD per WP:DRAFTOBJECT, but not moved to draftspace again. Jay 💬 06:16, 26 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Jay: @Unst50: I don't have much on the way of a view on it. To be honest I don't remember it. The article is effectively unsourced failing WP:V, WP:SIGCOV. There is similar lists on wikipedia but they tend to list all of the specific folk who were beholden to the king, which included everybody from the dukes downwards through the heirarchy to Archbishops and so on. I think something of this type is too narrow in scope and fails WP:NLIST, per @Clarityfiend:'s correct comment at Afc. scope_creepTalk 10:13, 26 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have 15 other articles on Wikipedia listing the Earls for the medieval Kings of England.
I don't understand why this last one for the reign of Richard III is being blocked over and over again. It is no different from the others.
Since mid-2021 my wife has become very severely physically disabled due to a permanent and incurable disease. I don't have the time and energy anymore in making submissions to support publication of my lists.
Delete them all if you want to. I have downloaded them all and will publish them on my own website. Unst50 (talk) 07:00, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Liz My name is John. Thank you for your message. I have published similar articles on Wikipedia for every medieval King of England since William the Conqueror. They just consist of a list of the individuals who were earls of England during each King's reign. The lists consist of links to Wikipedia pages. The list of earls in the reign of Richard III is the last list for the medieval Kings of England. I note the procedure for undeletion but I would like to ensure that once I do that my article will be published. Could you assist me to get this final list of earls published on Wikipedia please. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:27, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
