Hello, I'm Annh07. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Upper class have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hello Annh07, I hope you are doing well.
I added a short title and an external link to the article about the Upper Class, but I noticed that it has been removed. I had written an article about the upper class on my website and included a link from Wikipedia to my article.
Could you please review the reason for the removal or provide guidance on how I can properly add an external link to my article?
Best regards, Upper Class Market (talk) 10:48, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Bottom line; you don't. Wikipedia isn't a means to advertise your article. You have a direct conflict of interest in attempting to add links to your article here. This isn't the venue for it. --Hammersoft (talk) 10:49, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I added a link to that article, but I was not aware that this action goes against Wikipedia's policy. I had seen similar actions on YouTube, and I believed it was permissible. As a newcomer to Wikipedia, my intention was never to violate any rules. I sincerely apologize for my actions, and I kindly request that you unblock my account. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Hammersoft (talk) 10:47, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

An important question to answer; what do you intend to do if you are unblocked? --Hammersoft (talk) 01:00, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've thoroughly reviewed the guidelines to ensure my contributions meet Wikipedia's standards. I'm committed to adhering to guidelines and contributing positively by providing accurate information and reliable sources. And I'm continuously learning about Wikipedia's platform to gain a complete understanding. Upper Class Market (talk) 20:02, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you intend on continuing to edit articles or create drafts on subjects with which you have a conflict of interest? If not, you can place another unblock request to request a username change and explain what you intend to do if unblocked. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:10, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
