Alexander Werth, a correspondent for the London Sunday Times and the BBC, accompanied the Soviet troops and described the camp shortly after its capture.
The BBC refused to air his report of the camp as his description was so unbelievable they considered it a Soviet propaganda ploy. It was not until the later capture of Buchenwald, Dachau and other camps on the western front that his description was accepted as true. Upswing2 (talk) 23:55, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Iskandar323. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Amnesty International, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Iskandar323 (talk) 13:14, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
