Request reason:
I had wanted to start afresh Wikipedia:CLEANSTART, and requested 'courtesy vanishing' WP:VANISH of original account. In the second (fresh) account I did not violate the blocks on the original account by editing any of those associated articles. Please leave these user and talk pages deleted by the db-user tag I had used, and unblock the second account (no reason for blocking it!) —User2083146168 17:10, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The whole point of a courtesy vanishing is that you stop editing this website and do not create any more accounts. Abusing this process to create sock puppets is a violation of WP:VANISH. In fact, because you've continued editing after requesting a courtesy vanish, the process should be reversed. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:30, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- The editing with your new account invalidated the CLEANSTART. You edited in the same topic areas as before. Indeed you created a category about False accusation of rape, an article that you edited earlier (and your edits were reverted because of your usual bias).--Bbb23 (talk) 18:03, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Bbb23 The category I created was on feature films (see Category:Films_about_false_accusation_of_rape); I didn't even touch False accusation of rape or any of the articles related to that (aside from linking *to* it). All of my edits from the new fresh account were intact, aside from a single edit that got reverted, which wasn't because of any bias (I used IMDB list as reference, and apparently that list had a film that doesn't exactly belong there). My intention here was to categorize movies on a theme; that is not really controversial, is it? User2083146168 (talk) 18:23, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Bbb23 At this point I'm more concerned about Wikipedia not allowing me to WP:VANISH. Even if you are not going to unblock, please consider deleting (a.la. db-user) the user and talk pages. This is a privacy issue for me. Thanks. User2083146168 (talk) 18:28, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Bbb23 Another acceptable outcome is to reset the history of this Talk page out of respect for my privacy (you may paste this entire section afterwards as the only edit, or simply inject a new block notification). User2083146168 (talk) 18:31, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- NinjaRobotPirate Thanks for pointing that out. I've clearly misunderstood WP:VANISH and overlooked this part "When you request a courtesy vanishing, it is understood that you will not be returning."; it wasn't my intention to abuse the process. I'll try to create another request for courtesy vanishing. User2083146168 (talk) 19:33, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- @NinjaRobotPirate: @Bbb23: - How do I initiate a second courtesy vanishing request? Now that I understand what it entails (don't return to editing), I hope you will consider this option. At the moment I'm unable to edit my user page in order to add the db-user page template. Please also consider my request for deleting of the Talk page, or at least reset its history, out of privacy concerns (I do not want reference to the old name left anywhere). User2083146168 (talk) 19:36, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- There is no such thing as a "second courtesy vanishing". It is offered once, and you are expected to stop using this website afterward. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:13, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- @NinjaRobotPirate: It was a genuine misunderstanding on my part. I assumed in good faith that I could still create a new account as long as I don't edit old topics. But I should have read WP:VANISH carefully in its entirety, instead of just skimming it. My original intention all along has been to remove references to old name (and I never had any intention of creating sock-puppet accounts!); but I'm fine with vanishing if that is what it will take.
