African American

edit

Some black Americans like to be Africanized, others after 400 years look for their cultural and ethnic heritage in America, some suggest going to Africa,, some define AA's as descendants of slaves, some just don't know what the label is when applied to them, some equate black with being an AA, some do not, some don't quite know what an African is, others just don't care, some don't know if AA is an adjective or a noun, some try to make it both...

But most are Americans, just Americans who happen to have some black African ethnicity. And the more they fight not being American, the more they become a people without a country. They speak no African languages,no tribal affiliations, no African religion, little affiliated African cultural values, mores, folkways or local identity whatever.

Unfortunately they have not come to realize, that in all honesty, they represent the true America..they were the backbone of its development. They are the only group of people a new genotype/phenotype that has evolved and emerged from the USA part of the New World that was named and is now just referred to as 'America." They are the true new Americans. Just as peoples migrated, evolved and genetically adapted to their environment over thousands of years around the world. The new black American evolved out of forced migration.

They are the only New Americans. All others who migrated to the US are basically the same genotype/phenotype of their origins. And those individuals who were here originally ( so called native Americans)remain basically the same. Only those original black Africans have evolved into a new people through natural selection, forced breeding, and inter mixtures of various genotypes/phenotypes.
Blacks are the only indigenous group of people in the USA who are different culturally, and basically physically from their ancestors who set foot in the New World. And they still are an evolving ethnic group.

The original inhabitants of this continent were not Americans. They were given the name native only after the country was named. Descendants of slaves have evolved over a period of time to be a different phenotype/genotype than native Sub Sahara inhabitants..Therefore they are a product of the New World that was named America. The only group of people to evolve into a physical category all their own in this place later named America. A place named by a group of people of a lighter hue.

They are Americans with some African ethnicity that carries with it a darker skin hue that is referred to as black. It is a name given to blacks just as the term Africa itself evolved as it is written and pronounced,. was originated by those of a lighter hue who are referred to as white. Color, classification, and designation of "race" are used as descriptive terms.

Just as names of continents are accepted, and they were named by people of a lighter hue, so be it with any other classification or designation. So if inhabitants of a geographical area are called by a name that a group of lighter hue individuals decided would be given the name Africa are Africans, then the inhabitants that came here from somewhere else and were the only ones to evolve into a new phenotype/genotype in America can very well be Americans. They may possess some Sub Saharan ethnicity because their ancestors but they are not Africans.
