Hello VX1NG, I reverted your changes to the S-car and the insertion at Pontiac Vibe, but now I'm not so sure anymore. GM referred to the '83 Cultus as the S-car (I have tons of period sources), but I cannot find any references for the NUMMI cars. But I also realize that S platform may not be the same as S-car, and at least the 2nd and 3rd gen Cultus/Metro etc. were built on what they called the "M platform. I'm a bit confused as to what's what, and some also refer to the original Opel Corsa (not related to the Suzuki although of similar size) as having been the S-platform. Anyhow, this all seems rather messy and I have a hard time finding references. Let's converse here. Mr.choppers | ✎ 16:29, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Mr. choppers, after delving deeper into this. I am thoroughly confused. I am finding that some references that have GM using other manufacturers platform names for imports and other times they have their own designation. So, for now I am going to leave GM S platform and Pontiac Vibe as you have them. Until, I can find some better sources to clear up this confusion. I have a feeling what's happening is people are confusion the VIN letter for platform codes. Thank you for being understanding and willing to talk about this issue.VX1NG (talk) 16:53, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I reverted in a huff, then looked deeper and started getting equally confused - and realized some sort of apology was in order. I shall add a cite for the Cultus S-car and see what I can find about the other possibilities. Cheers, Mr.choppers | ✎ 23:29, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it. I understand your frustration; when editing it seems like it's more "Let's throw it against the wall and see if it sticks," then actual collaboration at times.VX1NG (talk) 11:49, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Move reverted.
editHello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your bold move of TorqueFlite has been reverted because an editor has found it controversial. Per Wikipedia:Requested moves, a move request must be placed on the article's talk page, and the request be open for discussion for seven days, "if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested". If you believe that this move is appropriate, please initiate such a discussion. Please note that any move of a page with a longstanding title and/or a large number of incoming links should be considered potentially controversial, and likely to be contested. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. bd2412 T 16:55, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

- It is to my understanding that technically, the 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood didn't not have a true successor; the 1994-1999 Cadillac De Ville served as a defacto successor. Regards, VX1NG (talk) 03:22, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Your addition raises an interesting question. Chapman developed the Lotus 18 during the period that Jaguar were already working on their as-yet unreleased IRS. Did Chapman know of it? He was never slow to borrow ideas from elsewhere. Was there any Jag influence taken from the earlier Chapman strut and its structural use of the driveshaft? Andy Dingley (talk) 13:07, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- Andy, I am sorry I have no information on the relationship between the two. All I know is they are similar designs. Regards, VX1NG (talk) 13:17, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Your proposed move
editSee Talk:GM Family II engine#Requested move. Since seven days have run this move is ready to be closed. Most likely (unless more comments come in) this will close as Not Moved, because it's unclear what is really going on. There isn't enough evidence that the new title is more apt than the original. Maybe if your original move proposal had spelled out the details (instead of just citing some large documents) people would grasp the rationale. You may still be able to add comments there. Disambiguation link notification for January 26
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of VM Motori engines, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Direct injection. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Help settling a argument
editHello, I would like to know if you'll help me settle a agrument with user GG360 and two other ip addresses which I'm shure are the users. The user as well as the ip addresses keeps adding redirection links to the same template that is just what the model is called in another country. I belive that unless that there's a article about what the vehicle is called in another country, its unexceptable. I've constantly been having to revert them as they aren't acceptable and just bloating and cluttering the template with unessessary redirects. But this or these users don't seem to understand. And the template is Mistubishi Motors vehicles, thanks. Seqqis (talk) 01:34, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- Seqqis, as much as I'd like to help you I feel a more senior member would be better apt to resolving your situatioin. I would recommmend you take the situation to either User:Mr.choppers or User:OSX. Regards, VX1NG (talk) 06:30, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Nissan/Datsun US/Canada model timeline.. not sure how to add info!
editHi VX1NG! I noticed you have the most experience previously editing/formatting the Nissan/Datsun US/Canada model timeline table and am contacting you because I need your help adding a model that has been omitted. The Datsun F-10 (Nissan Cherry F10) was sold in the US (and I believe Canada) from 1976-1978 before the 310 (Nissan Cherry N10) arrived in 1979. Somehow the F-10 was omitted from the chart! If you can help to add it I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated. Autonutt (talk) 23:21, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- Added! Sorry for long turnaround. VX1NG (talk) 06:49, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Daihatsu USA timeline
editHi, I noticed that you created Template:Daihatsu USA timeline. I don't believe this is necessary. Imagine the bloat if we made one for every country. I believe we are best served by a single global template. OSX (talk • contributions) 05:21, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, OSX. I agree it is unnecessary. And also on the idea of a single "global" timeline should all makes move to that or only the smaller ones? Thanks! VX1NG (talk) 15:10, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- I think global templates are only appropriate in a few cases where the car range is substantially different. For example, Toyota USA has many locally-developed models. Even then I think a single global template would also be satisfactory. OSX (talk • contributions) 03:21, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, OSX! What's your thoughts on merging the Dodge timelines into one global timeline? VX1NG (talk) 15:58, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Well the Australian and Chinese ones should go for a start! OSX (talk • contributions) 14:19, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
